My life as Alice Stoner., chapter 2

"Alice!" I heard Mrs. Hamilton call from her office. Great. She was ready for me. I groggily got up and dragged myself into her office. I sat in the hard, uncormfortable seat. I bet she had ordered for these seats to be uncomfotable. That way when she's scowling and bringing you down, it would just hurt more. She stared at me. With those bland, grey eyes. They had absolutely no emotion. But I guess that's what happens when you've been principal of Hell High for like, ever.

She sat in her big, I'm-the-Boss-Of-The-World-So-Listen-To-Me chair. She continued to stare at me, she occasionally fixed her hair and straightened her clothes. "Alice..." she said calmly, "what do I have to do for you to stop breaking the rules? Do I have to amuse you? Do I have to walk on my hands and knees like a dog? Would that amuse you? Or do I have to punish you?"

Ok. Nobody talks to me in that tone of voice. Check one for you, Hammy.

"Mrs. Hamilt-"

"Ahh ahh. Don't speak." She took a pause, and sighed, "I've tried the punishment. I've tried detention, suspention, in class suspension. I've tried standards, essays..." Her voice started to rise, "I've called your father, I've called your mother, I've had conferences! I've sent you home for bad behavior! I've tried everything I could think of! But this time, Alice, I'm thinking I should expell you."

Ok, nobody cuts me off. And nobody expells me. Check two for you!

"Mrs. Ham-"

"Ah!" She pointed a finger at me, "I said don't speak!"

I sighed.

Mrs. Hamilton swung her chair around and peeked out the office window and watched the jocks practicing for football and the cheerleaders cheering.

"Allison Sarah Johnson...why can't you be more like your classmates?"

That's it. I've had it. She cut me off, called me by my full name, and she asked that stupid question! Why can't you be like your other classmates?

"You kno-"

"Ahh! I said don't speak!"

"No, you don't speak! You listen to me, ok? Ok. Now listen up, chump," I started as I jolted up from the terribly uncomfortable seat, while Mrs. Hamilton swung back to face me, "you drag me in here, expect me to listen to your horrible lectures on life, school, whatever it may be. Well have you ever thought that for one second, maybe I just wanna live my life the way I want? Hmm? This country is about freedom, yet you boss everyone around here like you're the Almighty God of everything, when you aren't! Maybe you should stick to your word and let freedom fucking ring!"

I stormed out of her office. But as soon as I got out, I saw loads of kids, cheering for me. Me. Me. Wait...what the fuck had I done?

"Yeah! Great speech Alice! You really got Hammy good!"

"Yeah, I bet she's stunned!"

"Go Alice! You rock!"

What the hell...had they heard my speech? Wait...what?
