Oh, How Wrong We Were To Think Immortality Meant Never Dying., chapter 6
You're just a sad song
With nothing to say
About a lifelong
Wait for a hospital stay.
Two weeks later.
"Mmhmm...yeah....yeah, yeah...I know, yeah...okay-sure, yeah...okay. Bye."
Proper conversations were now non-existent between Billie and I. He always said, "Save the small talk, we gotta get you out there." I knew he meant well, though. I only knew this because I was sure he couldn't mean any harm. He was, after all, my idol for eight years of my life.
I hadn't spoke to Gerard for a while either....not that I minded. Well, I did, but I pretended not to. It was pointless wishing for something that will never come true.
Anyway...the album. We recorded some of the songs, the ones we were best at, basically [about 14 of them] and then did alot of other shit with production and whatever. It was all a kind of a.....blur. A haze. A dream. Whatever it was, it was surreal. And it was going to take some getting used to, but I guess we'd work around that.
We released our first single, EP, whatever you call it, quicker than expected. Like I said....surreal.
The three of us were staying in this house a few streets away from Billie's. It was kind of...a mansion. Sorta. Well. It had six bedrooms, each with an en suite, and then three bigger bathrooms and then a pool and jaccuzi and it even had a mini bar.
So, back to the actuall music...yeah. Well, I was sitting around the house wondering when Lizzie and Leigh would be back with the food, when someone knocked at the door. It was sort of late, it was dark, and no one really came round to see us seeing as we didn't actually know anyone.
My immediate thought was Billie, because he was round constantly. I sighed and got up, then made my way over slowly.
"Hi, Billie," I said, when the door was opened. The guy standing there grinned.
"Uhm, or not...hi, how are you?" I asked Gerard.
"Fine, fine...just thought I'd catch up. Fancy a walk?" he asked.
"Sure. I'll get my coat."
Ten mintues later we were wandering through a deserted park. He asked about the label, and how it was coming along, and we talked about that for a bit. But after that there seemed to be nothing to talk about, so I contented myself by staring at the stars.
There were a lot out in Cali that night.....
We walked along through these trees and then came out beside a big lake thing. Loch, Scottish people are supposed to call them. I'm not very Scottish, despite being Scottish.
I was just thinking about how that made no sense at all when I noticed something. Gerard wasn't by my side.
"Uhm, Gerard?" I called out, staring around me. He wasn't there. I couldn't see him anywhere. It didn't really make sense because he'd been there two seconds ago.
It was kinda scary, you know. It was pitch black, except for the stars, and the lake [or loch. Whatever.] looked all eerie in the darkness.
I decided he must've gone back through the trees, so I started to walk back through. Then I started to get paranoid. Then I heard a rustling and then I started walking quicker and -
"BOO!"
I jumped out of my skin, practically having kittens, whilst Gerard stood there laughing manically, pointing at me and then laughing more.
I glared at him and waited until he was finished laughing. He stood up straight and held up his hands.
"Sorry, it was just so funny," he giggled.
It was just then I noticed how beautiful his smile was. He had the smallest trace of dimples and the perfectly white teeth.
"What?" he said, smirking. I realised I must have been staring at him and immediatly looked away.
"Uh, nothing," I said, going red. He noticed and I heard him laugh softly. I looked up.
"What are you-"
"Wanna go for a swim?" he interrupted. I stared at him.
"A- what? Swim? Where?" I asked.
He rolled his eyes. "In water."
"What, the lake?"
"Duh."
"But it's...what if...." I trailed off. He smirked again.
"Aww...are you scared?" he teased, tipping his head to one side. I narrowed my eyes.
"No."
"Well...prove it."
He started to walk forwards toawrd the lake, then turned around, realising I wasn't following him.
He grabbed my arm, and gently pulled me forward. I sighed and let him lead me to the lake.
When we got to the waters edge, he grinned at me. He stripped off his leather jacket and we both chucked off our shoes.
"You first," I said uneasily, eyeing the ripples in the water. He smirked.
"I don't think so," he said quietly. He walked over to me with a wolfish grin on his face, then picked me up. I gasped and tried to jump out of his arms [God knows why] but I couldn't. He was too strong. He giggled and walked us along to the walk-way and started walking along the wooden boards.
"Gerard, please don't-"
Without warning, he jumped in, taking me with him. I went right under the water and opened my eyes.
I liked being underwater. It was eerie and scary and pretty cool.
I swam up to the surface, and saw Gerard floating lazily, a few metres away. I grinned and paddled silently through the water, then leapt over him, landing on the other side with an almighty splash and drenching him completely.
He screamed like a girl and ducked under water. I laughed.
"Payback!" I yelled.
He came back up with an evil grin on his face.
"Let's have a water fight," he said, wiggling his eyebrows.
"I don't think that's a good id-"
He interrupted me by whacking both arms down onto the waters surface, making me drenched this time. I splashed him back and it went on and on, both of us shrieking and giggling and splashing.
It was the most fun I'd had in a long time.

Two hours later, we were lying exhausted and shirtless [well, Gerard was] on the mossy bank. Gerard kept bursting into random fits of giggles and then sighing, wiping his eyes and muttering wierd things that weren't remotley funny.
Strange boy.
I was staring at the stars again, trying to look anywhere but Gerards bare chest. He didn't seem to be that shy around me, I noticed. It was completely oppisite with me. I lost my fucking cool all the time when he was around. Kinda annoying, I think you might've gathered.
"The stars are pretty," I muttered, not expecting a reply. I saw him look over at me from the corner of my eye.
"So are you," he said. I looked at him quickly and felt my skin flush crimson.
"Thanks," I mumbled, sitting up and sniffing. I felt him move over to me.
"You know something?" he murmered in my ear.
I shivered. He was so close to me...
"Mmhmm," I replied quietly
"I really like you..."

"BLUE! FUCKING GET YOUR LAZY FUCKING ASS UP NOW! NOW! I MEAN IT!!"
I rolled over and slapped my alarm, also known as Leigh, in the face. She threw a cushion at me and I opened my eyes.
"Leigh...we gots ourselves a break today, 'member?" I said, stiffling a yawn. "Billie says we should relax 'cause we've worked non-stop."
"Yes, thats all very well, but there's someone at the door for you."
"Urgghhh...who?" I groaned.
"Gerard."
I scrambled out of bed and ran over to the closet. I pulled out some shit and shoved some clothes on, then ran over to the mirror and started brushing my hair furiously.
"Well, that changed your tune," Leigh smirked, walking out of the room.
How could I forget about Gerard...after last night.
We didn't do anything [you pervy fucker]. All we did was kiss. Seriously. I swear. Cause Frank [Iero, yes] called him and he had to leave. But not before he walked me home. He's such a sweetheart.
I gave up on my hopeless hair and ran down the stairs, and into the kitchen where Gerard and Leigh were sitting at the table.
"Hi!" I said breathlessly.
"Hey," he smiled, standing up. "How are you?"
"Fine, yeah, I'm fine," I burbled. "You?"
"Yeah, uhm, I'm fine, I'm great," he said, seeming equally nervous.
I glanced at Leigh. She was watching us with an amused expression on her face.
"What are you looking at?" I said defensively at her.
"You two...you wallies," she said then laughed as if it was hilarious.
"Ignore her," I said to Gerard. "She's a bit soft in the head."
Gerard laughed and Leigh glared at me.
"Uhm, anyways, I wanted to ask..." Gerard said.
"Mmhmm?" I prompted.
"D'you like...maybe wanna go eat breakfast...or something?" he asked, looking at his feet. Leigh was in silent fits of laugher in the corner. Heartless bitch. I love her really. Anyway...
"Yes, sure, yeah, of course, okay!" I said a little too enthusiastically.
"Awesome."
