Dawn to Dusk: A New Beginning, chapter 8
Gerard got up and ran out of the room. "Hold on. Wait,"the figure stopped and Gerard grabbed his shoulder. The guy turned around, his face facing towards Gerard. "Oh, hey Matt,"Gerard said with a smile on his face.
"Yeah, hi." It was Gerard's old roomate who had just moved out a few days ago because he had gotten an apartment of his own. He had most likely come back to pick up a few more boxes of his stuff that he had left there a few days ago and promised to pick up later.
"Hey, what's up?"Gerard asked.
"What were you doing to that girl in there?"Matt asked.
"Nothing. Why?"he asked in a inquisitive tone.
Matt leaned close to Gerard's ear and whispered,"Because I heard her screaming to stop."
"No, we were just playing around. Having fun."
"Sure, maybe to you. It sure didn't sound like fun from her point-of-view."
"Shouldn't you be leaving now?"
"Yeah, I guess I should. I'll be around later, maybe. Bye."With that, Matt left with two full boxes in his hands.
Gerard turned around and saw three more boxes laying on the floor, which meant Matt would definitely be back later. He did it on purpose so he could come back and check on Gerard and the girl.
Gerard put his hand to his face and rubbed between his eyes. He threw his hands into the air and kicked a cardboard box that nestled there.
