*Next Day*
*My POV*
I watched Mike as he played Peek-A-Boo with Stella. He enjoyed playing with her, I could tell. He brought back memories of my dad and I, before the divorce, probably before the word "hate" was even in my vocabulary. I went to my room and grabbed my camera. I walked back downstairs to the living room and took a quick picture of the two.
"Hey!" Mike said laughing.
"You guys were being too cute for me not to take a picture!"
He smiled "Why thank you..."
I laughed.
"Ready to go?" he asked.
"Yep," I replied.
*30 Mins Later*
*Mike's POV*
We drove into the driveway of my mom's house. My mom has heard so much about Kia, and has never met her, and she's never met her only grandchild either. Kia stood in the doorway as I opened the door. She looked a little afraid. I held her hand for confidence. We walked inside of the house as my mom came out of the kitchen with a big smile.
"Hi mom," I greeted.
"Hi Mike!" she replied.
"Mom, this is my girlfriend, Kia."
Kia streched out her hand for a handshake.
"No! Give me a hug! You're family!"
"Wow, that fast?" Kia said laughing.
"Of course sweetheart!" my mom replied.
*My POV*
I looked at Mike's mom, why did she look different from him? I didn't get it....Although I smiled at what she said. I never realized that I was in fact part of Mike's family, I mean after all, I did have his daughter, right?
A woman a little older than us walked into the room where we were, I was guessing it was the den...
"Hey Myla!" Mike said excitedly.
"Hey little brother!" she said.
"Whoa! Little brother?" I asked.
"Oh yeah. Well I guess not so much of a "little" brother now," Myla responded.
"No, that's not what I meant. What I meant was, Mike never told me of any siblings he had."
"Oh wow, I feel loved Mike," Myla said.
"Whoa, Kia...I didn't tell you I had a sister?"
"No..."
"Oh my God, Kia, well this is my older sister Myla."
I shook Myla's hand. "Nice to meet you Myla."
"You too Kia, and I get to meet my little niece."
"Yep."
I handed Stella to Myla. As she held Stella, I looked back and forth at her, Mike, and their mom to see a resemblance. None what so ever. I thought harder with more concentration, still no resemblance. I stopped to think. Why didn't Mike tell me he had a sister anyway? Shouldn't I know practically everything about him?
