Road To Acceptance, chapter 14
Marcie had always felt an attraction to her employer but she thought it was nothing sexual. In the end, when everyone had left the club, Marcie and Adam finally gave into the attraction. Their kissing was hard and furious. Slipping their tongues into each other's mouths letting their taste buds grind against each other. Adam placed his hands firmly on Marcie's buttocks, lifting her onto the bar. Slowly they stripped each other of any unnecessary clothing. Sweat began to build up inside the couple's pores. The beads of sweat molecules merged and condensed into the air. Adam climbed onto the bar and pushed Marcie back so she was lying on the bar made of metal. The cold temperature of the metal caused Marcie's skin to plague with Goosebumps. Adam's lips pressed themselves against the side of Marcie's neck. Air escaped Adam's mouth as he gently sucked on Marcie's skin. His hands roamed down to the waistline of Marcie's underwear. Adam's fingers slid under the waistband and pulled the knickers down slightly. Marcie's breathing began to labour from the exhilaration her body and mind were being fed from the man who's boxer short's she was pushing down. She felt an incredible pleasure as Adam inserted himself into her private area. The pair gently rocked each other on the metal work as their bodies began to pant. Closer and closer to climaxing the laboured pants became louder and louder. Marcie screamed as the onset orgasm screened itself to the empty punk club.
After a silent moment Adam lifted himself from Marcie's body and replaced his clothes. Marcie sat up on the bar pulling her underwear to where it would sit normally. When Adam had all his clothes on, he told Marcie to lock up the club then left. Marcie jumped down from the bar, her bare feet striking the concrete floor. She pulled on her black jeans and white vest then looked around on the floor. Upon finding her leather belt she picked it up and looped it into place and did up the buckle. Marcie looked around once again and knew that she had just been used for sex. She sat on the floor pulling her socks on to her feet. Once the socks were on her feet Marcie found each of her black and white Converse high tops and threw them on her feet. She stood up, laced the boots then left, turning lights off and locking up.
On Friday April 30th Revengeance arrived in the town of Eureka to play the opening night of their tour. Two hours before the gig was to begin the four band members were sitting outside the venue with their van looking around. Eileen had her seven month old son in his baby bouncer in front of her. Brittany was strumming a few random chords on her guitar to make sure it was properly tuned. Yas had once again thrown herself into her song writing. Her pen barely leaving the brilliant white page. Meanwhile Marcie was sitting away from the other three contemplating what to do about her pregnancy. Eventually the maturing teenage girl rose to her feet, dug some changed from her denim trouser pocket and went off to look for a payphone. Once she had found one, Marcie put thirty cents in the slot then dialled the phone number for 924 Gilman Street. The blue handset felt ice cold against Marcie's olive skin, she gripped the plastic as the static ringing tone was played. There was a slight click and a soft buzzing sound as the telephone call was received and answered. A deep Californian voice enquired as to who was calling.
"Adam... It's Marcie." the girl stated.
"Oh hey Marce." Adam replied, "How can I help you?"
"There's something I need to tell you." Marcie replied.
"Marcie I... " Adam started.
"No let me finish," Marcie interrupted, "You remember that night we... you know? Well erm... I'm pregnant." Marcie said then flinched out of normal reaction.
There was a pause which caused Marcie to worry excessively. She anxiously waited for an answer from the father of her unborn child. Her hear launched itself into her throat, pulsating, her throat tightened. A thin veil of sweat formed on Marcie's forehead. Her hands began to shake violently as both her knees buckled forcing her body to fall against the side of the phone booth. Her breath laboured from fear of the reaction of the man she'd shared a one night stand with.
"Adam if you're there please answer me." Marcie pleaded.
"I can't have this child. I don't want this child. As far as I'm concerned Marciella you're on your own." Adam stated coldly then hung up the phone.
Marcie dropped the handset leaving it to swing as the flat line tone blared out of the earpiece.
For the next two days Marcie had managed to put the thoughts of the pregnancy to the back of her mind for the two shows. However eventually the thought dominated her mind and she shut herself down. This made the tour a little difficult to carry on. Contradicting to that the tour carried on anyway. The subject of Marcie's phone conversation with Adam was never mentioned. Marcie hadn't even informed her band mates of the conversation.
Eileen had eventually had enough and in Woodland she took the action of phoning Adrienne. Whilst waiting for an answer Eileen looked around to make sure no one was around. The phone call was answered by a male voice.
"Billie, is Adrienne around?" Eileen asked.
"Sorry she's out right now." Billie replied, "Eileen is there something wrong?" he asked, "Everyone's alright aren't they?" he added worriedly.
"Well erm... I'm not sure hot to say this... Marcie is pregnant. By Adam from Gilman."
"Fuck." Billie muttered, "I didn't know they were even together."
"They're not, never have been." Eileen answered, "She's depressed Billie, we don't know what to do with her."
"Does she want the baby?" Billie asked.
"I don't think she even knows herself." Eileen said with a hint of sadness, "I don't think Adam wants it either. I dunno what to do Billie... I really don't."
"Alright I know mate I know. Either Adrienne or me will phone her cell phone later on tonight ok?" Billie asked.
The conversation was ended and Eileen left the phone booth. She was walking back to the outskirts out town to where the van was parked. Eileen looked at the couples that were walking around with their newborn children. Eileen hadn't been longing for a man to be in her life. The only man that made her happy now was her young Zach. She hadn't mad a male role model around. Both her parents were killed in a car accident when she was still a toddler. Since then Eileen had been living in the care of her aunt and uncle on her father's side. Eileen's aunt, Katherine, was Eileen's father's sister. She blamed Eileen for the accident and basically ignored the child's existence. Eileen didn't care about them though. She had left that animosity behind then she left Minnesota the last year. The only people she wanted or needed in her life were all in the state of California.
Just then at that moment Eileen spotted a man that struck her as familiar. He was around five foot eight inches tall, he had dark brown hair which was slicked back into a ponytail, his eyes were a dark striking blue. Eileen's jaw dropped in realisation that was Marcie's father.
Eileen instantly began to run from the town centre. Her legs pumped uncontrollably from the adrenalin. As her feet pounded against the asphalt sidewalks her mind raced. She had to save her friends and more importantly her seven month old son. Her calf muscles strained and ached from the pace she was running at. Eileen's heart began to thump painfully in her ribcage, every time her lungs expanded they felt like lead. Her right temple throbbed whenever her right foot bounded on the pavement. The pain in her head began to spread across her head, down her neck and through her biceps and triceps. Her hamstrings stretched and immobilised her legs for a moment. No matter the extent of the pain Eileen continued to sprint up the street. Once she saw the van she sighed and kept running toward it. Ten yards away from the van, Eileen's legs gave way and she fell to the concrete floor.
Yas had seen what happened and ran out to Eileen, leaving Brittany with Zach. Yas knelt down beside Eileen who was lying on the floor panting, barely able to move.
"Dude are you ok?" Yas asked, concerned for her friend.
"Is... Is everyone ok?" Eileen panted.
"Yeah we're all fine." Yas answered, "Marcie's gone out but she's probably fine."
"She's what!?" Eileen exclaimed and panted some more trying to regain composure, "We have to find her... We have to find Marcie." Eileen said then tried to stand up.
Yas stood up and helped Eileen to her feet, "Calm down... why do we have to find her?" she asked, "She's not cutting is she?"
"No! No she's not... I just saw her father!"
"What? No you can't have, he's still in Alexandria."
"He's not! I just saw him! We need to find Marcie before he does."
Yas took Eileen to the van and slid open the side door. Zach looked up and gurgled at the return of his "momma". Eileen laid down on the floor next to her son's carry cot still trying to capture her normal breathing stature. Yas closed the door then asked Brittany to come out of the van for a moment. The raven and auburn haired girls stood in front of the van and looked around.
"We need to find Marcie." Yas said, Brittany looked at her confusedly.
"Why?" Brittany asked, "She needs time to herself probably. Bitch I'm not dragging her away from that. She'll beat up on my ass, girlfriend."
"Like Marcie's father's probably beating her up now? He's in the state, Eileen saw him earlier." Yas explained.
When Yas finished the sentence, Brittany jumped into the van with Yas and the search for Maricella Bisson began on the outskirts of Woodville.
The sky was beginning to darken, clouds were beginning to form. A rumble ruptured through the air. The road was desolate, not a single tyre was to be heard against the tarmac. Walking along the side of the road was the raven haired Marciella. Her black and white converse high tops clattered against the ground. The blue denim skater jeans were baggy against her legs and the ripped bottom hems dragged in the dried dirt. Her t-shirt was white and fitted to her slender frame. Over that lay a green belted jacket. Marcie's raven hair was ruffled from the wind. Her blue eyes were now the coldest shade of back outlined by thick black eyeliner, her eyes had glazed over with a veil of saltwater on the verge of becoming tears. Marcie had both her hands in her pockets as she walked. Her eyes stung as she recalled the telephone conversation she'd had with Adam. She knew the pregnancy was a mistake, she wished that the growing foetus she had inside her never existed. Above her, the clouds released small amounts of water that silently impacted the Earth below.
"Marciella." a rugged male voice came, Marcie flinched in horror, she knew that voice, "It's been so long Marciella." the man, Billy Bisson, said.
"Stay away from me!" she shouted backward then started to speed up her walking.
Billie Bisson pounced on the young Marciella pulling her to the ground. The two relatives fell to the floor with a dull thud. Marcie wriggled and writhed to get herself free from her father's stronghold. Billy tightened his grip around Marcie's ankles and dragged his daughter down, across the dirty ground toward him. Marcie's fingers were desperate to grasp something, however to her dismay and disadvantage nothing of use was seen or felt. Billy straddled his daughter, digging his knees into Marcie's sides. Marcie's body still writhed and struggled to get free of her father. She knew better than to scream, that would only bring the physical pain to her faster. Then it came.
A cold, hard fist impacted Marcie's face with two of Billy's knuckles striking Marcie's cheek and jaw bones. The force of the blow forced Marcie's head to lull to the side. Billy brought Marcie's head so she was looking at him then punched the other side of Marcie's head. This action was repeated over and over again. Once bored with punching Billy rose to his feet and launched his foot into Marcie's side. Out of pure instinctive reaction Marcie rolled onto her side leaving her stomach open to a kicking. Rainwater splashed against Marcie's cheek as she lay in silence letting her father abuse her without a single cry for help. Marcie's eyes were heavy from the beaten inflicted tiredness.
After a silent moment Adam lifted himself from Marcie's body and replaced his clothes. Marcie sat up on the bar pulling her underwear to where it would sit normally.
