Rodeo High, chapter 1
"Hey Jus, what's up?" I said to my best friend Justin as I ran up beside him on the way to hell, also known as Rodeo High School.
"Wha... oh, hey Bec, sorry, I still haven't had any caffeine."
"But it's already 8:25! How can you - oohhhh, who's that guy?" I said as I pointed to a guy walking across the front lawn of the school.
"Some new kid, I dunno. Why? Oohhhh...."
"Shut up Jus!" RRIIIIIINNNNGGGG!!!!!! "Oh shit, we're late!"
*Lunchtime*
Just as Justin and I sat down for lunch, the new guy sat down. He stood around for a moment, looking for a place to sit. I stood up and called him over. "Hey, I'm Frank, but everyone calls me Tre."
"I'm Becky, and this lifeless form, thanks to a lack of caffeine, is Justin." He slowly picked up his head and looked around.
"Heh? Oh, hey dude."
"Hey."
"So, Tre, how did you get stuck going to this hellhole?"
"My family just moved here. So....what do you have next?"
"Algebra. You?"
"Same."
*Algebra*
I was spacing out as usual until I felt something brush my hand. I looked down, and there was a note there.
[Tre] Hey. Wat'cha thinking about?
[Becky] Nothing, just spacing. You?
[Tre] Nothing. Wanna hang out after school?
[Becky] Sure. How about at my house, it's only a block away.
[Tre] Sure.
*After School, At Becky's House*
So Tre and I walked to my house and watched TV until the phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hi sweetie, it's me."
"Hey mom."
"Listen, your Aunt Mia is sick, so I'm going to stay with her tonight, ok?"
"'Kay, mom. See you tomorrow."
I hung up the phone, walked back over to the couch, and sat down. After a few moments, Tre slipped his hand into mine and began to softly kissed my neck.
"Tre, I -" He pulled away and looked at me as if he knew exactly what I was going to say.
"Sorry, I... I didn't mean to move too fast. It's just that I really like you. I - I..." I leaned over and softly kissed his cheek.
"I love you too, Tre."
