With My Love, chapter 2

It was the eighteenth of October, a day I'd remember for the rest of my life. Nothing was happening this year though.

"Mommy, mommy," my six year old daughter ran in the door.

"Yes hunny?" I scooped her up onto my knee and stroked her hair. She was beautiful, with rosy cheeks and black hair. She had my eyes, dark blue, but there were tiny pieces of green mixed in.

"I want to get a cd!" she smiled at me.

"Pick whatever one you want," I told her, putting her down. She ran over to choose.

A few minutes later, I heard "The One I want" by Green Day blaring. I grabbed a Guns n' Roses CD and ran over to Issobella with it.

"Heres a different CD, why don't you play this sweetie?" I handed it to her.

"OK, mommy," she gave me the Green Day cd. I went back to my room with it.

Once in there, I closed the door and sat on my bed. Tears began to roll down my cheek.

'"Billie, what are you doing?" I tried to look over his shoulder.

"Nothing!" He hid a piece of paper.

I grabbed his hand and pulled him into a standing position, kissing him gently, and suddenly pulling away, the piece of paper in my hand. I grinned.

"Asshole," he glared and then looked down.

I looked at the paper. It was a song. I read through it and as I did, my expression changed. I looked more serious and my eyes were shining.

"Is this about me?" I asked.

"Yeah," he said gruffly.

"Billie, you are fucking amazing." I pulled him into a kiss.'

That song was The One I Want.
Crying drained a lot out of me, so I slipped into the bath. And closed my eyes to forget. I'd been trying to that a lot over the past seven years. Forget.

I got out of the bath forty-five minutes later and got into green combats, a black Metallica top and black Converse.

"Mommy!" yelled Issobella.

"Yeah hun?" I yelled back.

"There's some guy at the door, he wants to talk to you!" She came into the room.

"You answered the door? We talked about this Issobella! You don't do it!" I told her. God, I never thought I'd be that kind of mother.

"Yeah, whatever!" God, her attitude. She was such a little me!

I went out to the door, ready to give the guy a load of shit in case he was harassing my daughter.

I was met by a pair of electric blue eyes.

'I heard the sound of laughter and I recognised it, Billie's. I came around the corner to see what was going on.

"Hey guys!" I greeted.

"Hey! This is Tre..." Billie introduced me.

I was met by a pair of electric blue eyes.'

"T-Tre?" I gasped.

"Hello, Vi" There was a sadness in his voice. I wanted to cry.

"Oh my God!" a tear spilled.

"It's been a long time." He made no move to hug or comfort me. He used to.

"Yeah," I wiped back the flood of tears that had erupted.

"Who's the kid? You been whoring around?" he said coldly.

"Wh-What!" I was shocked.

"That's why you left Billie... there's someone else... you said it."

"It was better for everyone that I left."

"Oh yeah. Better for you to break Billie's heart!"

"He broke my heart long before that!" I snapped.
