Billie's Secret, chapter 1
Hi, my name is Katie Wright. I am 17 years old. I have an 18 year old brother named Frank but everyone calls him Tré. I live in an apartment with him and his best friend Billie Joe.
They are in a band together called Green Day. Their other best friend Mike is in the band too.
Billie Joe and Mike are pretty much my best friends. The only other friends we have are Sarah and Jessa. They're twins and they have been my friends since 7th grade.
I've always liked Billie in a more than friend's way. I think he likes me too but I'm too scared to ask him. Sarah and Jessa know I like him.
I knew that after today my life would be changed forever.
It all started at our apartment. Tré had just left to go do groceries. Me and Billie were sitting on the couch watching TV.
"You wanna know something Katie?" Billie asked.
"Sure," I said.
"I've always liked you more than a friend. I was just scared to tell you." He said.
"I've always liked you too," I said.
He smiled and came closer to me.
"Will you go out with me?" He asked.
"OK," I said.
We started kissing.
We heard the door open so we broke apart.
"What have you guys been up to?" Mike asked suspiciously.
"Not much. Just watching TV," I said nervously.
"I saw you what you guys were doing," Mike said.
"Saw what? Nothing happened when you were gone," Billie said.
"Ya, we were just talking," I said.
"I saw you guys kissing," Mike said.
"Please don't tell my brother," I begged.
"Don't worry. I won't but you will," Mike said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Cause if nobody tells him he's gonna get pissed. He's very protective of you Katie," Mike said.
"Fine, I'll tell him," I said.
"Tell me what?" Tré asked when he walked through the door with Sarah.
"Um...well...is it OK that I go out with Billie?" I asked nervously.
"Ya, sure," Tré said.
"Thanks Tré," I said and hugged him.
"Hey guys," Sarah said.
"Hey," I said.
"Guess what," Sarah said.
"What?" I asked.
"Jessa has a boyfriend," she said.
"What's his name?" I asked.
"Taylor," she said.
"When are we going to meet him?" I asked.
"I don't know...but I'm going to pick them up from the mall in like fifteen minutes. Then I think we're going to get ice cream," Sarah said laughing.
"OK. We'll meet you guys at the ice cream parlor," I said.
"Well... I'll see you guys then," she said, and left.
"Bye," we said.
"I just have to fix my hair and eyeliner then we'll go," I said.
"OK," they said.
I went to fix up my hair in my bedroom. I heard Billie, Tré and Mike talking.
"Dude, since your best friend, I trust you," Tré said.
"Thanks man. I've always liked Katie," Billie said.
"No...really!" Mike said.
"It was that obvious?" Billie asked.
"Ya," Mike said.
Billie laughed.
"OK. I'm ready. Let's go," I said.
"OK," they said.
Tré and Mike sat in the front and me and Billie sat in the back.
"To the ice cream parlor," Tré said.
Billie put his arm around me.
I smiled.
When we got there they were already there.
Billie and I were holding hands. I wanted to see how long it took for Jessa to notice.
"Hey guys," she said.
"Hey," we said.
"Guys, this is Taylor. Taylor this is Katie, Billie, Tré and Mike," Jessa said.
"Are you an oompa loompa?" He asked.
"What?" I asked.
He started laughing.
"I wanted to see what you would say," he said.
"OK then," I said.
"Wait a second!" Jessa said when she noticed me and Billie were holding hands.
I laughed.
"Are you two?" She asked.
"Yep," I said.
She came over and hugged me.
"I knew you always liked her!" She said to Billie.
He laughed.
"So...how long have you guys been going out? I haven't talked to you in like what...3 days," I said.
"We've been going out for 2 days and I didn't call you to tell you because I was busy," Jessa said.
"How long have you guys been going out?" Taylor asked.
"Like half an hour," Billie said laughing.
"Cool," Taylor said.
"What kind of ice cream do you want?" I asked Billie.
"Chocolate," he said.
"OK. I'll be right back," I said and went to get our ice cream.
We ate our ice cream.
"Well...we gotta go. We'll see you later," Sarah said.
"Bye," We said.
We dropped Mike off and went home.

"I'm going to bed. Now don't try anything, my room is right there," Tré said and did the "I'm watching you" sign.
I laughed.
"Goodnight Tré," We said.
We decided to watch TV for a bit. I was starting to get tired so I rested my head on Billie's shoulder. He kissed the top of my head.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," I said.
Eventually I fell asleep.
