My happy endings (A My Chemical Romance story), chapter 1
Today's been one of the worst days of my life. I've took the death of my beloved parents really hard. Just over three hours ago, the three of us was there, happy, walking the dog. Well now that can't happen anymore. Here's how it happened.
My parents and I was happily walking the dog minding our own business when a misteriously, masked man approched us. He had a knife. He demanded money an precious possestions from us. My parents refused his orders so he threatened to kill us all.
My mother and father pushed me behind them to protect me. The mugger raised a knife and stole there lifes. They were killed protecting me. The mugger ran off as fast as he could. After the police was called the bodies of my parents were carted off the the nearest hospital. The police investigated the scene and they found no evidence. I guessed this murder must be an expert. The police took me off to an orphanage with all my belongings, happy and sad memories. Well, I can't really call it that because I'm to old. A temparary home I could call it. I have no other relitives so I can't live with them. Now, I'm sat on a cold hard metal bed. Waiting to get a really home and a happy new family.
I heard a loud cras from the otherside of the room. The lady in charge came pounding into the room.
"You! Steph! Go wash my clothes!" she demanded.
Wait. Aren't they her chores. I did as I was told. She didn't seem the right person to mess with and she was basiclly evil. She stood behind me while I was washing her clothes cristising me by the way I looked, washed things and laughed about the death of my parents and how they deserved to me dead. She also said that I should have gone with them. Every now and again she clenched her fist into a ball and pounded it at me. I don't think I can take much of this.
*A week later*
My life hasn't got much better in the past week. Everyday the photos of my parents are slowly burnt in front of me. Would things get better?
The women who had made my life hell came strolling into the room followed my a tall, dark haired man with a pale face.
"This is Steph, there is not much about her. She doesn't talk much. Just sits there on the bed all day crying. Stupid girl. She's here because her parents were killed." The women declared laughing at the last line.
"I don't think she's very happy. She looks a wreck," The man said.
"Well, aren't all unwanted people."
"I'll take her. She's not unwanted."
"Come with me sir and sign some forms."
The pair left the room.
*5 minutes later*
The man and women came back into the room.
"Steph, get your stuff, you're not wanted here."
I looked up at the man. He gave me a reasurring smile.
"Hi," He said.
I waved at him and began to pack my stuff. The last few days had been so bad that I had lost my confidence to speak and trust people.
"Steph, don't be so rude. This fine man is talking you home to live with him." She shouted punching me as hard as she could.
"Hey, don't you hurt here. What the hell are you doing?" The man shouted grabbing my hand and belongings and pulling me out of the building to the car.
The man opened the passanger door for me as I climbed in. He went around to the driver's side of the car and got in.
"So, I hope you no that you're coming to live with me." I smiled at him.
"Don't worry, I understand if you don't talk much. You'll me safe with me."
I gave another quick smile.
"I'm Gerard by the way."
Gerard started the car engine and began to drive to home I guess. The sound of the Mistfits blasted out of the speakers.
As we began to drive I looked outside at the world before me. I hadn't seen daylight in a weeks. I slowly began to recognize the place outside the car. It was the setting where my parents lost there lives. I looked down at my feet. Tears began bleeding from my eyes.
Gerard turned off the music.
"Whats wrong?"
I just kept crying.
"Is that where your parents?"
I nodded.
Gerard pulled me into an one armed hug.
"You won't have to go through something as tragic as that again," He near enough wispered to me.
I looked at Gerard in the eye and gave him a small smile.
*10 minutes later.*
We pulled up outside a huge house with a massive front garden. The house had a home look to it.
"We're here," Gerard said as we both got out of the car with my belongings. Gerard then led me into the building and took me straight to my room. My room had a large TV in it with cable connected to it. There was a laptop on one of the draws and a stero. There was a huge double bed and over in the corner there was a walk in wordrobe. The walls were painted black and white and had various posters on the wall. My dream room was in front of me.
"I'll leave you to unpack and get settled in," Gerard said.
"Thanks sir," I grinned.
"So you do talk, that's good. Call me Gerard by the way." Gerard said, "When you're done come down stairs okay?"
With that Gerard left the room. I unpacked my belongings and put the remaining photo albums of my parents on my shelf. I then put my dirty little secret in my drawer. A knife.
I then headed downstairs where I met Gerard in the living room.
"Hey, you want a drink or anything?" Gerard asked. I nodded a no.
"Still a bit nervous?"
I nodded a yes.
"There's no need to be nervous. I won't hurt you. I'll make sure no one hurts you."
I gave Gerard a weak smile and sat down next to him.
"So what you want to talk about?" Gerard asked.
I shrugged. Suddenly, a sensation of my parents came over me and a tear escaped my eye. A sensation of there last night, there last witness of happy and sad life, there last breath.
"Your not okay are you?" Gerard said pulling me into a hug.
"I witnessed them go. I watched there murder and did nothing. I feel so guilty. I wish I could have done something and they would still be here." I cried into Gerard's shoulder.
"There is nothing you could have done to stop it. It's not your fault."
"I miss them so much."
"I know, I know."
Gerard stood up and pulled me up with him. We walked to the kitchen, hugging as I was still crying. He got a glass from the cupbored and filled it with water. He gave it to me as I slowly sipped the water. Gerard was lent up against the side and I was still hugging him. He made me feel safe and made me feel everything was going to be okay.
"Gerard, I feel I can now trust you."
Gerard smiled and gave me a peck on the forhead. My tears slowed down and Gerard looked at his watch.
"Woah 11 pm already," He said shocked, "I'm going to bed. If you want to stay down here you're more than welcome to watch TV and stuff.
"I'm off to bed too."
Gerard and I walked upstairs together. He walked me past his room to my door.
"If there's any problems don't hesitate to say, I'm only next door if you need me and don't worry about waking me up."
"Thanks, night," I smiled.
"Night."
Gerard walked to his room when I heard the door shut behind him. I went in my room, shut the door, changed into my night clothes, got into my bed and got into bed.
