My happy endings (A My Chemical Romance story), chapter 4
"They're here," Gerard smiled.
Gerard took my hand and led me into the sitting room where the four guys were.
"Whoa, Gerard's got a girlfriend," One of the men shouted.
"No Bob, she's the girl I kinda adopted," Gerard said correcting Bob.
"Yeah, yeah I believe you." Bob smirked.
I took a step back behind Gerard. "Steph, the mouthy one's Bob and that's Frank, Ray and the other dude is my brother Mikey," Gerard said pointing to the right person.
"By the way guys, she's a little nervous around people so can you please not do what Bob did and let her tell you what happened when she's ready," Gerard told the four guys.
"Okay," Mikey said, "Do I look mean?"
"Well yeah," Gerard said as Mikey through a playful punch at him, "Remember, let her tell you when she's ready."
"Don't worry, we fully understand Gee," Frank smiled.
I stood out from behind Gerard. "Thanks." I said.
"Steph, Mikey's the younger one out of us five, he's 25 and the others are... I can't remember," Gerard said.
"Younger people can relate to Mikey well so you know," Ray said.
"He's the man," Bob laughed.
"Can we practice now?" Gerard whined.
"Come on then," Frank said heading to the basement.
The men set up downstairs. I studied each of them to see what they played. I noticed that Frank and Ray played guitar, Mikey played bass and Bob was the drummer. I didn't really know what Gerard did but I'll find out when practice starts.
"Coffee," Gerard said walking upstairs followed by Frank, Bob and Ray.
"Frank can I have a go on your guitar?" I asked.
"Yeah, Mikey will tell you which one it is," Frank replied.
"Thanks," I said.
"Tell him I want coffee," Mikey said.
"Oh and me and Mikey wants coffee," I said.
"On it's way," Frank said.
"So, which ones Frank's?" I asked Mikey.
"That one." Mikey said pointing to a black and white target patterned guitar.
"Nice." I smiled.
I picked up the guitar and began playing along to Gun n' Roses November rain.
"You're good." Mikey said playing along to the guitar music with his bass.
"You're good too." I smiled.
"So, how long have you been living with Gerard then?" I asked
"I came here last night."
"You've settled in very quickly then."
"Kinda. Gerard's very caring to what I've noticed."
"Yeah, he is."
"He kinda understands what I went through and what I'm going through now!"
"You don't have to answer this but what happened?"
I let out a small sigh.
"I witness my parents get killed and just stood there, I wish I did something to stop the murder but I just froze. I got put it some sort of orphanage, which I'm way too old for, and they burnt most of the memories I had left of my parents. They beat me too. Now, I kinda go something to myself that a little wrong. That's the thing that Gerard understands. I cut."
"Oh," Mikey said looking a little awkward.
Mikey opened up his arms and gave me a hug. Just then Gerard and the other three guys came down the stairs with lots of coffee and cookies.
"Looks like you've got to know each other quickly then," Gerard smirked.
"I've just told him about, you know," I replied.
"Good. Mikey will look after you and will understand you better now, just in case something goes wrong," Gerard replied.
"Noticed," I laughed.
I looked up at Mikey to see him blushing at the comments when he released me from the hug.
"The coffee you wanted," Frank said handing Mikey and myself coffee, "I heard you playing upstairs Steph. You're good."
I blushed. Mikey and I both took a swig out of the coffee.
"This is goooood!" Mikey said.
"I couldn't have explained it better than that," I laughed.
"Can we please practice god damn it?" Frank complained.
