Gone For Only a Moment..., chapter 5
Mike walked through the door with a smirk on his face.
"Mike, what did you do?" Billie asked. He knew something happened.
"Oh nothing...just kissed the prettiest girl ever!" Mike screamed.
Just then Stephanie walked through the door.
"But Mike you haven't seen me all day yet." She had a concerned look on her face.
"Oh not you Stephanie! He meant...." Billie started but was interrupted by Mike
once again punching him in the balls. Billie fell and whimpered.
"Mike, please. Tell me you didn't kiss another girl," Stephanie said.
"I'm sorry Steph," Mike looked at his shoes.
There was a silence for what seemed like forever but then Stephanie spoke up.
"Ok...Mike. I came over to hang out but I guess that changed." Stephanie looked at him. "Good bye Micheal." Stephanie left and Billie was lying there looking at Mike.
"Dude, I'm very sorry," Billie tried to say. Mike looked over at Billie. Then he did something he thought he would never do if the love of his life left him.
"YESSSSSSS!!!!!" Mike jumped up and yelled. "Yes! She is gone! Yes yes yes!!!"
"What the fuck? Dude, the girl you loved broke up with you!" Billie yelled.
"I know! Isn't it great?" Mike smiled
"You kissed Nicole didn't you. So now you like her and you wanna get into her pants. It all makes sense!" Billie threw up his arms and left.
Mike just stood there. Maybe Billie was right.
"Whatever..." Mike though and started to play his bass. Then there was a knock at the door. Mike answered it and there was Nicole, she was crying.
"Nicole what's wrong?" Mike asked
"My dad! He's back! He almost got me until I drew a knife at his arm. He ran away and I'm scared he will come back!" Nicole said. Mike pulled her into a hug.
"Does your mom know about this?" Mike whispered.
"No, she doesn't." Nicole calmed down a bit.
"It's ok. Stay with me until your mother gets home then we will talk about it." Mike led her into the house and Nicole sat down on the sofa.
"Anything to drink?" Mike shouted from the kitchen
"Water...please." Nicole was scared.
"It'll be alright," Mike said giving Nicole the water and kissing her head. Mike sat down next to her and turned on the TV. Nicole snuggled up to Mike and said, "Mike..."
