One Of My Lies, chapter 1
I thought everything was going to be normal after school. I would go home greeted by nobody until my parents came home. I would go up in my room and do my homework while blasting music, or playing my guitar with the amp up so loud I could feel my own self vibrating, or I would be hanging out with my two best friends, Ashlee and Katelyn. I thought it would be normal. I guess today I was wrong. I got home and my parents were sitting at the table with cheery dandy smiles on their face.
"Why are you guys home so early?" I asked entering the kitchen.
"Olivia, can we talk to you?" she asked ignoring my question, still with her cheekily smile. I dropped my backpack down next to the chair and sat in it right across from my dad.
"We have some very good news," my dad said.
"What?" I asked.
"We're moving to California!" my mom said with much more cheerfulness as she hugged my dad and kissed his cheek.
"What?!" I yelled. "You think you can just make these decisions without me!? What about me?! What about my friends?! What about this wonderful house we have here and everything? Why?!" I yelled as tears started streaming down my face. I ran up to my room and locked my door. I fell against the wall with my pathetic attempt to stand up anymore. I fell on the floor and hugged my knees.

I grabbed the box full of random stuff for my room. As soon as I turned around I was greeted by a guy with brownish-red hair and the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen in my whole life.
"Would you like me to help you with that?" he asked.
"Umm...sure?" I said. He took the box from me and I grabbed another following him into the house. He set the box down and I set the box down right next to his.
"Hi, I'm Billie," he said and held out his hand.
"Olivia," I said as I shook his hand.
"You want me to show you around the neighborhood?" he asked.
"Sure," I answered. "Dad, I'm leaving. Okay?" I said to my dad.
"Sure. Go ahead," he said.
"Thanks."
I followed Billie outside and started walking down the street next to him. "So, how old are you?" he asked.
"17," I answered.
"Same here," he said. "Where are you coming from?"
"New York," I answered.
Billie and I went on talking for a while. It was quite interesting. He was really cool too. Kind of reminded me of a male Katelyn in some ways but no one was quite like her. And Ashlee. She had a very colorful personality. She was hilarious. No one would ever replace them. Just thinking of them got me so sad and depressed at that moment.
"Why'd you move here? This place sucks," Billie asked.
"My parents," I said sadly and put my head down staring at my converse as we walked.
"Sorry," he said. He could tell I was really sad about moving.
"No. It's okay. You didn't know."
Billie and I talked for a little longer. He was really cool. I could get along really well with him. Finally, he dropped me off at my house.
"Maybe we can hang out tomorrow and you can meet my two best friends."
"Sure," I said.
"Bye," he said as I replied the same. I went to sleep happy for once since I found out I was moving.
