Zoe, Her Father, and The Guys, chapter 10

Then I felt something on my neck. I turned as fast a I could, just to discover Aaron with the choker necklace in his hand. "You ready? I need to pay if you are," I asked, looking at his beautiful smile.
"Yeah. I just want to see what the choker looks like on you," he replied, extending his arms to put the necklace around my throat. I turned back around to he could see how he was tying it. "It looks great. Let's get the guys and go," he said, grabbing my hand.
"Aaron, I have to pay for this," I said, as we headed to Andy and Pete. Zac was just outside to door, trying to get his necklace on that he had purchased.
"I already took care of it. Don't mention it," he said, turning to look at me with the beautiful green eyes he had. I had to admit, I was a sucker for his and Andy's eyes. Andy had ice blue eyes. They sent chills down my spine.
"Thanks," I said, a little surprised by his action of buying me yet another thing.
Aaron grabbed Andy and Pete and we met Zac outside the archway.

"Let's get something to eat," I said before anyone could suggest where to go next.
They all just looked at like I was crazy. "You want to eat? I thought you only ate a small meal every one or two day," Pete asked, in astonishment.
"Yeah. I'm hungry," I said, answering the puzzled group of guys.
"Okay. I'm hungry too. Let's eat the same thing this time," Pete agreed.
"Okay. I vote burgers," Zac voted.
"That sounds good," Andy agreed. We sat down with our food and I devoured mine.

We finished and we just sat and talked for a while. "Zoe, you okay after what happened at school today?" Andy asked.
"Yeah, I was just scared. My arms still ache but that is it. I have a bruise or two," I replied, rubbing my arms.
"I promise, after school tomorrow, we can all teach Kyle what he needs to learn. He needs to learn not to mess with me and my friends. My fuse just burnt out after that little incident in the hall today," Aaron promised as he looked from one of us to the other.
"Aaron, you're going to get your ass kicked and so will you guys. You didn't feel his grip and power today," I said, seriousness in my eyes and voice.
"He hurt you and he will pay. We all protect you and nobody, and I mean nobody wants to cross me and my friends if we are after someone. He hurt you and we are going to hurt him," Zac returned, pulling my eyes to his with is thumb and index finger.
Zac seemed the maddest, then Aaron, then Andy, then Pete. Pete seemed the calmest. But he was still raging inside. Just like he was that afternoon at school.
"You guys ready to go?" I asked, looking all around them.
"Yep," Pete said first, standing up.

We all got up and walked to the lower level. I walked out the entrance we came in and waited on Zac to get his bike out. I hopped on and we head to my house once again.
