Zoe, Her Father, and The Guys, chapter 7

We walked into the school. Luckily, my locker was right next to Aaron's. Pete and Andy were at the first two lockers of the next set.
I closed my locker and waited on Aaron.
"You have your schedule?" he asked, closing his locker.
"Yeah, here," I said, handing it to him.
"Okay, we have the same classes besides one. Math, you have that with Andy. But other than that, all of us have the same classes. You have math with Andy and me, Joey and Zac have chemistry," he calculated, handing me my schedule back.
"Hey Aaron. Who is your slut girlfriend?" someone asked, stepping in front of us.
"First of all, she has a name, and it is Zoe. Second, she isn't a slut, and third, you need to move before I beat the shit out of you like last week. You got that Kyle?" Aaron said, lots of threat filling his voice.
"You better watch your back. Both of you," Kyle said, pointing at us before leaving.
I just looked up at Aaron a little bit. I was a little scared.
He looked down at me, madness in his eyes. They got softer when he looked at me for a second.
"Zoe, don't worry about anything. Just stick with me and the guys, and you'll be fine. I promise," he comforted. He put an arm around my shoulders and softly kissed the top of my head.
I was safe. At least I felt safe.

"Hey Aaron, what did Kyle want now? Another beating?" Pete asked with a beautiful smile.
"No, he wanted to know who my 'slut girlfriend' was? I schooled him. I made three points. He told us both to watch our backs. I told Zoe to stick with us, and she wouldn't be hurt. I promised," he answered.
"Zoe, Aaron is right. You stick with any of us or all of us, and you can't be touched. Kyle is just a big baby," Pete assured.
"Okay. Let's get to class," I said, breaking the conversation.

We sat in the back of the room.
I told the teacher who I was, and she introduced me.
There were a lot of eyes bugging out at me. A lot of the guys in Hollister and American Eagle were the ones looking. Aaron, Pete, Andy, and Zac just silently laughed at the guys.

I sat back down and looked at them. They were still silently laughing.
"Where is Joey?" I asked, noticing he wasn't here.
"Probably outside. He never comes to class," Andy answered.
I just thought about that.
Well, then, before I knew it, classes had begun.
I went to science, english, and then social studies.

I was at my locker when someone came and closed it. Aaron had already gone into the lunch room and was waiting on me.
I turned to see who it was. That is when I saw who I didn't want to see. Kyle.
"Hey girl. Why you hanging with those punk kids? I could show you how to figure this whole school out," he said, trying to be sexy somehow.
"Kyle, fuck off and leave me and my friends alone," I said with a nice attitude, opening my locker once again.
"Ryan, Randy. Get over here," he said a little loudly. I put my last book in my locker and closed it. As soon as I did, I was shoved up against the lockers. The two other guys held one of my arms and I couldn't get out. Kyle then came an inch from my face and spoke.
"You want to talk to me like that, you and your little punk friends will pay. Especially your fucker boyfriend Aaron," he warned.
"First, brush your teeth, and second, Aaron is not my boyfriend, and he isn't a fucker. He is my friend. Get that through your thick ass head," I said, annoyed of being called Aaron's girlfriend. I wasn't. Did that mean I didn't like him? I don't know.
Then, all of a sudden, Kyle slapped me across the face. My face stung like there were millions of needles that were just stuck into me.
I looked him back in the eyes. Rage and pleasure were present. He was enjoying me going through pain.

"Kyle, leave her alone," Pete yelled as he came out of the lunch room.
Kyle backed away from me and turned to Pete.
"What you going to do? Randy and Ryan have her secure. She is a bitch, and that is how I am treating her," Kyle growled.
Then Andy, Zac, Joey, and Aaron came around the corner and came to Pete's side.
"You're out numbered. Now let Zoe go. She didn't do anything to you," Joey raged.
"Do it now, Kyle. Tell your guys to let her go," Zac continued, raging as well.
"Okay, guys, bring her to me," Kyle said.
I was yanked forward and handed to Kyle. He then grabbed my arms. He hurt much worse than the other two.
"They let her go. Now what? I can hurt her very easily. Do one single thing wrong," Kyle threatened. I was really scared and my arms were hurting very badly. Aaron could tell.
"Pete, Joey, Zac, Andy, go around to the gym, and we will meet you there," Aaron said. Then I saw him wink. The guys left and so had Kyle's friends.
"Kyle, please let her be? Beat me up if you have to. Just leave her alone," Aaron tried to negotiate.
"Why should I? She could be popular. She could be mine. She shouldn't be with you fuckers," Kyle predicted.
"I am popular. My dad is Tre Cool from Green Day," I butted in.
I looked up at Kyle. He was looking at me, dumfounded. Then, a second later, I felt an impact, and I got loose from Kyle's grip. I turned to see what happened.
Zac, Joey, Andy, and Pete had pushed him so hard that he fell and hit his head. They jump over him, and we all ran to the lunch room.
