Billie Joe walked into his house to find it seemingly empty. He was pretty sure Adie was having an affair, but he never said anything because if it was true, he didn't want to know. He loved her too much to leave her, and if she was cheating, he felt he would have to let her go. They had a two year old son named Joseph Marciano Armstrong. Joseph was Billie's pride and joy in life, but Adrienne never really seemed to care. Adie had wanted a girl and had a boy. She cared for him because he was her son, but love seemed like too strong of a word.

"Daddy!" came a call from the stairs. The little boy came running down the stais and into his father's arms.

"Hey buddy! Where's your mom?" Billie said, lifting his son into the air and balencing him on his hip.

"I don't know. She not here."

"Is somebody here with you?" Billie asked, a little upset.

"Nope. Mommy said to wait for you, and you'd be home in a minute."

"Really? Well I'm gonna have to talk to mommy. She shouldn't leave you alone. Did you eat?" Billie asked, looking at the clock on the wall in the living room. It was six o'clock at night.

"No. Mommy said to stay in my room until you got home. She left a wong time ago. I'm hungry Daddy," the little boy in Billie Joe's arms said.

"Alright, we better feed you and get you to bed," Billie said walking into the kitchen. He set Joey on the counter and looked in the refidgerator for something to feed his son. He wasn't hungry, so he'd just make hot dogs for Joey.

After Joseph ate his dinner, Billie took him upstairs and gave him a bath and put him to bed. He read him some Dr.Suess book, and the little boy fell asleep on his daddy's lap. Billie slid his son off his leg and pulled the blankets over him. He went down the stairs and looked at the clock. It was seven thirty. Just then Adie came thruogh the door.

"Oh, Billie. Hi Babe," she said, and tried to kiss him, but Billie turned his head away."What's the matter baby?" Adrienne asked.

"What's wrong with you Adrienne?! When I got home Joey was alone and he hadn't eaten yet! He said that you told him to wait for me to get home in his room!" Billie said, trying unsucessfully to keep his voice down.

"Well, I had to do something. I only left him for a minute."

"I got home at six, when did you leave?!"

"I left at.... like....... maybe..... four thirty."

"FOUR THIRTY!!! Adie, he's a baby!! You can't leave him here alone for two and a half fucking hours!"

"Well didn't your parents ever do that?"

"NO! Either my dad or one of my siblings were always there! My dad would never leave me alone! EVER!"

"Yeah well your father is dead! Okay Billie Joe! He's dead! He died when you were ten fucking years old! That sounds like leaving you to me!"

"You know what, you're right. He did leave me. I know that, and I'm sorry for it, because if he was still here, he probably would have talked me out of marrying a bitch like you! You left the baby here alone for two and a half hours! What if I would have been late! What if somebody would have gotten in Adie! He's two years old, you cannot leave him here alone!"

"Billie Joe! If I'm such a bitch and you regret marring me, LEAVE! And take your son with you! I don't want to put up with this shit!"

"Adrienne, this is my house! My son and I are going nowhere! If you are so tired of my, you get out! Because this is fucking pointless! All we do is fight!"

"That's because all you do is go around here and act like a fucking basket case! With your anxiety attacks, and your fucking anti-depressents! Because, your dad died and your mom remarried, and your life was so hard! Well welcome to life Billie Joe! Because that happens to everybody!"
