The Girl In The Misted Valley, chapter 2
God. My head was spinning. Oh well nothing new there.
And there was a really annoying beeping going on. I really wish that beeping would stop. I opened my eyes but it was just all blurry and made no sense. Once again it beeped. Fuck that is annoying. I wish I know where I was
And another beep
Suddenly I sat bolt up right as the memories of my recent experiences came flooding back.
I swung my hand around and it went strait into the heart machine that was sitting next to me. It kinda half exploded and one half of it was covered in soot. It kept making an annoying noise so I whacked the other half of it and it shut up. I sat back down I studied my surroundings. Two boys stood in the corner of the room with shocked looks on their faces. They looked my age. Maybe a year or two older. The shorter of the two had deep brown dread locks falling all over his face and his green eyes shone through, his hair. The other was a foot or so taller, he had quite long limbs and had sort of puffy blondish hair that fell to around his shoulders and had blue eyes.
Most girls would think they were 'hot' or 'cute' but not me. I didn't fancy boys. They were just people who were either going to hate me and ignore me, or hate me and beat me up. Simple as that. It was the same with girls. I never made friends with them because they didn't want to be around me. There was one girl, a long time ago. Too long to remember really. Her name was something like Anna. No. Hannah. She was nice. She seemed to understand me. Our minds worked the same way. I think she lives in England now somewhere. But like I said. That was a long time ago and I had no intention of trying to find her because she had probably changed and would reject me now. Like every one else.
"Are you okay?" The tall blonde one asked as he stepped towards me.
I looked him in the eyes and backed away from him slightly as he tried to touch my arm. He placed his hand on mine. "Calm down. We aren't going to hurt you."
I lashed out with my long nails and made a large red streak down his face which quickly started bleeding. This time he backed away from me.
"She's awake!" A nurse yelled from out side my room.
I was so confused. I hadn't been in hospital before. My dad never took me to one. Doctors rushed in and started taking my temperature, blood pressure and every other thing you could think of all at once. Next they started asking me all sort of questions but I didn't answer them. They had no right to know.
For about ten minuets they kept checking me and asking me questions until finally they left the room leaving me sat on the bed confused and startled.
"Man. She is weird." One of the doctors whispered to the boy with dread locks. "Well...you can take her home now."
The boys started to protest and say they didn't know me but the doctor ignored them and left the room.
I was still sat on the bed with a smouldering heart machine next to me that the doctors had some how managed to not notice.
"She isn't fit to go home," The brunette said. "Look at her. She can barely move."
The other laughed, "She smashed that machine up alright. Besides. The doctors just don't want her here."
I looked at the two with confusion and fear in my eyes. "Hi," I whispered. "I'm Ariel."
The blonde one stepped forwards. "Hey Ariel." He held out his hand for me to shake it but I didn't. I hated shaking peoples hands.
"M-my name is Jake. And this is Matt." I studied the two carefully before a nurse came in and hurried us out into the parking lot.
I looked at them. "Well the people in the hospital told us to take you home."
I nodded very slightly and got into Matt's car.
