Suspicious Minds (Sequal to Say it before it's to late), chapter 2

*Markus' P.O.V*

I took a deep breath and ordered myself to calm down. It was not that big a deal. I was just going to meet Billie and Adie so they could help me on how to propose to May. Yeah, that was all! It wasn't like I was cheating on her or anything. No it was just a little white lie. It wouldn't hurt.

Thursday arrived and I was walking down the street towards "Blue" a local pub, or call it whatever. I sat down at a table, and waited for Adie and Billie to arrive. I was a little early, but that was all right, I needed to think through a couple of things anyway.

Deep in thoughts he sat there and stared out the window. I wondered who he was waiting for. A girlfriend? A boyfriend? Friends? His shrink? All I knew about him was that he looked so....well...not handsome, because he wasn't. His face was full of sits, which made him look younger than he probably was. And his nose was crooked and his lips were small, but still he looked so interesting. His eyes, and the way he moved. All I knew is that I wanted to know him better. Way better. All the way better!

*Markus' P.O.V*

I stared out the window, hoping that Adie and Billie would show up soon. Not that they were late or anything, but this guy that was standing at the bar was staring at me. Okay, maybe not staring, but he was certainly looking! I knew I had a lot of sits, but I couldn't help that they wouldn't go away, even though I was pretty sure I was done with puberty. I at least hoped so. The guy stood up and started walking towards my table. I pretended that I didn't see him and begged for Adie and Billie to come any second, unfortunately, they didn't. And the guy came over and said hi. Off course I was polite and replied. I looked up at him. He was a short guy with blue hair. His eyes were grey like a rainy day.

"Can I sit down?" he asked with a very calming voice. I nodded and dragged out a chair.

"Who are you waiting for?" he asked and drank a sip of the glass he had carried from the bar.

"Some friends of mine," I answered shortly and continued looking out the window. Why had I agreed with him sitting down here? I didn't even know him. He didn't know me.

"Oh, good friends?" he asked again and took another sip of his glass. What a curious bastard I thought, but kept it to myself. I nodded and stood up as Adie and Billie walked through the door. I waved at them. I was desperate to get this guy of my back. Billie and Adie smiled and came over.

"Hi, Markus! How are you doing?" Adie said and gave me a hug.

"No more action since last time I hope?" she giggled. I wanted to laugh, because it was funny, but that guy was still sitting there.

"Hey, dude! Nice seeing you again!" Billie said and gave me a hug as well. And that guy was still sitting there like a, like a, like a...like stupid ass guy that can't take a hint!

"Can you please get away?! I don't know you!" I snapped at the blue haired guy. He didn't seem to mind though.

"Sorry, forgot to introduce myself! I'm Benjamin, but call me Ben, everybody else does!" he said and reached out his hand. I didn't shake it. I wanted him to fuck off.

"Yeah, annoying to meet you! Now fuck off!" I said and he smiled and turned around and walked away laughing.

*May's P.O.V*

I walked around anxious in the living room. I really did hope that Markus wasn't lying because that would crush me so hard. I didn't want to be like a nervous mother who checks on her daughter every other minute when she's on a date, but...

I picked up the phone and dialled Markus' cell phone number.

"Hello?" Markus said as he answered the phone.

"Hey, I was just wondering if...erhm...erh..if you could buy some dinner for tonight, if you're not staying to long I mean!" I asked and waited for an answer.
"Oh my god! Is that May?" I heard a women's voice say in the other end of the phone.

"Who was that?" I asked and now my voice was getting angry.

"Markus answer me! Who was that??"

"Nobody May! I'll explain it later on, okay?" he said, but I didn't answer, now I was mad.

"Yeah, I'll buy some dinner," he sighed and said goodbye and hung up.

I felt like I was being thrown in a washing machine. I felt dizzy and noxious. This couldn't be! Markus couldn't cheat on me. He loved me! Didn't he?
