Deadbeat Holiday., chapter 7
The next few days went slowly, well kind of fast actually.
It has been very hot, and I'm not referring to sexual tension, just the temperature.
Bam and I have only been together once, and I want it to stay that way for a while, well at least till I'm a bit older.
Rebel, the guys, and I were out at Chilli's tonight; it's a bar and a restaurant all in one, and one of my brother's friends, Mitchell, works in the bar there so we get free shit.
I was in my P.E shorts; they're black with the name of my high school embroidered on it in green, and I was wearing one of Bam's shirts.
"More booze," Bam slurred.
"Bam, you've had way too much already," I said.
Rebel nodded in agreement and took his beer from him, then skulled it herself. "Ha," she said.
Bam rolled his eyes and fell off the chair, earning a few laughs from us. I helped him back up, and he started to kiss me.
"Bam, no!" I said.
He sighed and walked off.
"I'll go find him," I said.
The street was cold and dark, and personally, I was shit scared because to be honest, this isn't the best neighborhood.
*Back at Chilli's*
"I'll go look for her, you know, so she doesn't get hurt," Mike said.
Billie Joe sighed, "Mike, you like her, admit it."
Rebel's jaw dropped, and her eyes were as wide as dish-plates. "You like her? She's had a mad-over obsession with you for years!" she declared.
Mike's eyes went as wide as Rebel's.
"Yeah, why do you think she mentioned the whole 'pantsing' you thing for?" Billie teased.
"She does have a boyfriend, you know," Rebel teased; Derek dude nodded along.
"I know...I kinda liked her too, you know," said Mike, fumbling his cocktail.
Rebel has several more vodkas until she was falling over herself.
"Oi Rebel, you okay?" said Billie Joe, stabilizing her and holding her up.
"I'm fiiiinne," she said, falling over again... 'All this baby business,' she thought, 'it's...scary.' Billie Joe picked her up from underneath and took her to a park bench and came back.
"Guys, I'm worried about both of the girls, let's head back," Billie Joe suggested.
All of them agreed, and Mike sprinted out of the bar to find Morreh before she got hurt.
*Back with Morreh*
I'm still looking for Bam. I've looked practically everywhere and I haven't found him.
I sat down on a park bench and thought about what Rebel said.
I had really bad feelings of remorse about my time with Bam...I haven't even known him for a month, and I've already been with him...he was my first...
I keeled over and began to cry.
I heard footsteps and my head jerked up: there was Mike Dirnt.
"M...Mike? What are you doing here?" I said, trying to wipe away the tears, but they didn't stop flowing.
Mike sat next to me and put his arms around me, bringing me into his lap.
"Thank God I found you," he said.
"W-what?" I quivered.
"I was worried about you, this is a dodgy place, I didn't want to see you hurt...or worse..." he trailed off. "Why are you crying?" he asked.
"I don't really know...I think it's remorse from when me and Bam..." I trailed off, and Mike hugged me.
"It's fine Morreh, everyone feels a bit bad when they have sex, it's fine," he said with a soft face. He then picked me up for a piggyback.
"Thanks, Mike, you fucking rock," I said as I laid my head on his back.
"Anytime Morreh; if anything's up, let me know," he said.
"Well, something is up, two things; one: I can't find Bam, two...well. It's embarrassing..."
"What is it, Morreh? You can tell me," he said, stopping for a bit.
"Uh..." I have had bad experiences with telling guys I like them, I get shot down too much...but this is different, I'm with Bam...but I've liked Mike longer...
"I kinda like someone..." I said.
"Really?" he said...'this is it...Morreh is gonna tell me she loves me...fuck, I gotta stay cool,' Mike thought.
"Yeah, but it's wrong, and right at the same time, 'cause I'm with Bam," I said as we walked up the stairs in my room.
There were groans, getting louder and louder. Mike opened the door for us to see Bam fucking some random chick.
Morreh just stood there...tears now gushing down her face, and she ran off into the night...Rebel had also mysteriously disappeared from the bench.
"You fucking asshole," Mike said.
Bam was covering himself up with the blanket, Morreh's blanket.
"Out, now!" Mike snapped.
As soon as Mike said this, Bam was gone, but Mike was already gone looking for Morreh.
"Fucking Bam had to ruin it!" Mike snapped to himself as he walked near a tree.
"Ruin what?" Morreh asked.
"Oh...nothing..." he said, looking down; Billie Joe ran up to them both, looking worried.
"What's wrong, William Joseph?" I said, wiping away the still flowing tears.
"Rebel...I left her on that bench, and she's not there anymore!!" he said.
"Nice," I said, rolling my eyes.
"I'll call her," I said, pulling out my phone, and dialing Rebel's number.
I heard one of those stupid female robot voices, "The phone you have dialed is switched off...to notify..." I shut the phone at that word...'fuck, what the hell is up?'
"Alright, all of us go in twos to find her. Me and Mike, Billie and Derek...Tré and...there's no one for Tré," I said.
"There's Bam," Derek dude said, obviously un-aware of what happened.
At the mention of his name, I started to cry again.
"What the fuck?" Dad...or Tré asked.
"I'll tell you later, Tré just go with Billie and Derek to sort this out," Mike said.
God, I love him.
I searched high and low to find Rebel until I bumped into a guy with longish, brown hair and brown eyes.
"Oh shit, I'm sorry...hey, have you seen a girl with frizzy black and blue hair...goes by the name of Hannah?" I said, dusting myself off.
"Hannah...with frizzy hair? Yeah I know her...my name's Valen by the way," he said, helping dust me off.
"Um...hey...Valen...do you know where she is? She kinda ran off, so me and Mike are looking for her," I stuttered, I knew who he is...he just didn't know.
"I don't know, I'm just here visiting...I live in Townsville...I decided I'd go say hi to her, but here, I'll help you find her," he said, looking about. Fuck, he's hotter in person than the pictures Rebel showed me. I could tell I was blushing.
Mike seemed weird, he had his arm around me, and kept glancing angrily at Valen.
"You okay?" I asked him.
"Yeah, fucking fine," he said as if he was trying to contain himself.
"Alright," I said, hugging him.
"So what's your name?" Valen asked, looking around for Rebel.
"It's Morreh Cool," I said, blushing worse and feeling Mike's grip tighten.
"Cool...oh shit, there she is!" he said, running towards a fountain.
"Fuck!" I said as me and Mike followed.
She was sitting on the edge, humming something.
"Thank God we found you!" I said, hugging her.
She sat, not noticing and humming the same lyrics again... "Fate fell short this time Your smile fades in the summer..." Valen picked her up and kissed her forehead...I don't know why, but...I felt envy; it's not like me to feel this way. Mike pulled me closer still, and we walked home.
"You sure you're okay?" I asked.
Mike and I were sitting on my bed, talking about shit.
"Yeah, how about you?" he asked.
"I'm fine, just a bit confused," I said.
Mike nodded as if signalling me to continue.
"The other day Bam said he'd never hurt me, then we find him in bed with--with...a cheap whore," I stuttered. I stated to cry again.
"Oh Morreh...life's a bitch sometimes...Bam's just a fucked up loser that doesn't know what's he's lost," Mike said, hugging me. Valen was looking after Rebel 'cause she blacked out...I'm supposed to be paying attention to Mike but...shit, look at his deep brown eyes, I just can't help... "Morreh? Are you listening?" Mike interrupted my thoughts.
"Yeah, I am, I'm just a bit out of it, that's all," I lied.
Goddamn hormones, first Mike, then Bam, then Mike again, now Valen...and Mike at the same time...Goddamn it.
"Hey Morreh, can you help me untangle Hann...I mean Rebel's hair?" he said in his deep voice...fucking hormones, I'm hating them right now...Morreh off limits...it's one of Rebel's besties.
I nodded and walked into my bathroom and brought a brush back to Valen and Rebel.
"Have you told him about...you know...the...bundle of joy?" I whispered in her ear.
"No..."
"Listen Morreh, maybe I should go to a doctor to see if that pregnancy test was wrong...I hate to say it, but I hope it is..." she whispered in my ear.
"Yeah, I get that, Westmead is still probably open, you wanna go now or save it till later?" I asked.
"Now please, I'm making myself sick over worrying," she said slowly, getting up with the help from Valen...God, he's...so...MORREH, SHUT UP!! BAH!! I just looked at him and smiled.
"Valen, Mike, take this time to get re-acquainted, me and Rebel are going out for a second," I said.
Mike raised his hand in protest, but I silenced him.
"And don't worry, I have my pocket knife with me now," I added.
"But...I want to be with Han...Rebel...she's like my best friend, bah! I hate you!" said Valen, joking around and going all huffy. Mike shook his head and sat down. Rebel laughed and gave Valen a kiss on the cheek.
"C'mon Morreh, let's go," she said, laughing.
"Okay," I said.
We walked up the road and around the corner.
"Do you know where you're going?" Rebel asked.
"I listen to punk rock, I've been in this hospital half of my life," I stated with a wink.
She smiled and put her arm around me, just then we see Valen running up behind us and jumped on Rebel.
"AHH, VALEN, GET OFF!!" she screamed.
Mike followed slowly behind, then did the same to me.
"Whose bright idea was this?" I asked as I pushed Mike off of me.
The guys pointed to each other, smirked, then laughed.
"Oh Valen...you have never changed," said Rebel, hugging him. "Morreh, he still gives the best hugs!" I could see myself getting jealous, it's not fair...why doesn't he hug me?
"Haha...yeah...I do..." I said slowly, trying to contain myself.
"Then gimme one," Valen demanded.
I did as I was told, but I swear I saw Mike looking pissed out of the corner of my eyes.
Rebel was right...he did give the best hugs. I could feel myself going bright red. Damn hormones.
"Morreh, I don't know when I have to go back to Townsville," she said, walking and leaning on Valen.
"Oh...I forgot you had to go back..." I said slowly.
"Uh...maybe in a week or so..."
She went off Valen and came and hugged me really tight. "I'm sorry I can't stick around," she said, crying a little.
"Yeah, she misses the orgasmic sex I give her," said Valen. Rebel burst out laughing and slapped his butt.
"You and your orgasmic sex, Valen," I said sarcastically.
We reached the hospital, and me and Rebel went inside and told the guys to stay in the waiting room.
"Hannah?" the receptionist asked.
"Yeah."
Both of us walked into the room and sat on the seats inside the office.
"Now I understand that you're confused as to whether you're pregnant or not?" he asked.
She nodded and he continued, "Well the results came through and we have concluded that you're not. I'm really sorry to tell you this, but you just had a small chemical imbalance that caused the test to be positive," the doctor said, patting her on the back, but she was smiling really big.
I sighed. "All better?" I asked.
She nodded as we walked through to see the guys.
"What was all that about?" Mike asked.
"Chlamydia," I said simply.
She had gotten a drink, and it all came out her nose. Valen pointed and laughed.
"That's not very nice, Valen Man," I said.
"Meh," he shrugged.
"God, he's hot," I thought. "But not as hot as Mike," I concluded in my mind.
"Morreh, do you know where I can buy some pizza?" said Valen, putting his arm around Rebel.
"Oh, you and your pizza...don't eat too much," said Rebel.
"Um, across the street from the chemist...or on Bridge Street if that makes it easier," I said.
He nodded and ran off to Bridge Street.
"Should we follow?" I asked.
"Nah, he can find his own way back," Rebel said.
At home we were playing Truth or Dare, and it was Valen's turn.
"Truth or dare, Rebel," he said, smirking.
"Dare," she replied.
Tré smirked as well, as did the rest of us. Well except me 'cause I was eating Valen's pizza, strange because I was the only one "allowed" to eat it...
"Rebel, I dare you to take all of your clothes off...except your underwear!" he declared.
Tré smirked even more, if it was possible, and Mike came up and hugged me, then whispered something which I didn't quite catch.
"What?!" she said, then sighed and did what he said. Valen grinned and started to tickle her. "AAH, FUCK VALEN, STOP STOOOOP!" she said, laughing.
"Why not me?" I thought...
Tré and Billie began to chant "Do it! Do it!" Over and over again, I felt a pang of jealousy about the attention she was getting from Valen.
Valen laughed and swung her over his shoulder and spun her round. I screwed up my face and ran out of the room.
Mike came after me and hugged me.
"Morreh what the fuck is up?!" he asked.
"I...I have a confession..." I said.
He nodded and signalled for me to continue.
"I like two people...Valen and--" I stopped dead when I saw Mike snap his eyes shut as if in pain. "Are you okay?" I asked, hugging him. He nodded and didn't say anything. "Don't lie to me, Mike, what is going on?" I asked.
"She likes someone else," he mumbled. I rested my head on his chest. "Morreh...I...like you," he softly blurted out. I sat there, stunned. Until I saw Valen's head pop out from the other room.
"YOU'RE MISSING ALL THE FUN!!" he shouted, and we heard Rebel:
"LET ME DOWN, YOU IDIOT!!"
"Mike I--" I didn't get to finish, I was being dragged back into the room by Dad.
"Alright, Morreh, truth or dare?" Rebel asked.
"Dare," I mumbled. I was down because I didn't get to tell Mike I felt the same way.
"I dare you to make out with Mike," she said.
Valen spat his drink out, Billie Joe smirked along with Rebel, and Tré twitched, silent for once.
"But...hey, that's not fai..." my words trailed away and Mike closed his mouth onto mine.
My eyes snapped shut, and I kissed him back. I was lying on my back with him firmly planted on top of me, and I liked it.
I forgot all about Bam, all about Valen, all of my thoughts were dead as Mike's tongue attacked mine.
Valen picked Rebel up and walked off towards the kitchen. Billie Joe laughed and followed, but Tré was sitting there, stunned.
"Um...can you get off her now?" Tré asked.
"Awe..." Mike said.
"Fine."
I heard Rebel screaming again really loudly for Valen to stop it...but my mind was halfly set on Mike...he had sincere blue eyes but Valens were a deep firey brown...fuck Morreh I wish I would shut up.
"Tré, go check on Rebel and Valen would ya?" I asked.
He hesitantly backed away.
Then me and Mike started to kiss again.
Billie Joe walked past like nothing happened and sat on the couch and turned on the TV.
He looked around for a second.
"Whoa! When did you two get here?" he asked... well yelled.
I gave him the finger and continued.
We were both panting and out of energy.
"What were you going to tell me?" Mike asked.
"I-I-I like you," I stuttered.
Mike grinned and kissed down my neck, Valen yelled at us to do it but I just yelled fuck off back.
"Thanks," I murmured against his body.
"No problem," he said, helping my up, and lying down with me on the lounge.
Billie Joe took that moment to abruptly stand up and walk out pretending he saw nothing.
"Mike, I'm still nervous about guys... Bam said he'd never hurt me, and look what happened..." I said.
"Don't worry...I wont hurt you...Tré will kick my ass," he said laying on top of me.
"I know he would... I'm just, I don't know. I've been hurt by two trusted guys in less then two months..." I whispered.
He sighed and walked off, Rebel had fallen asleep next to Valen and everyone else was asleep...wait...where was Derek Dude?
"Derek dude!" I yelled.
No answer.
I used Rebel's mobile to call him.
"This service has been disconnected."
"Fuck!" I hissed.
Mike was the only one up and I'm not going alone.
"Mike please, I trust you! Can you help me find Derek dude?" I asked.
He looked up at me sympathetically.
"Yeah. Let's be quiet though," he said.
We walked outside and searched around until we bumped into someone. "Ah fuck this is the second time today!!" I said mumbling and getting up and seeing a very short guy with snake bite piercing and black hair.
"What, you're that unco?" he snapped.
"What the fuck's your problem?!" I demanded.
"I have no problem, you're the one who bumped into me," he hissed.
"You've got a lotta nerve," Mike said.
"My names Sonny Moore if you must know now I'm trying to find two people so excuse me!!" he said walking past us.
"Fuck face! I knew he was familiar!" I snapped to Mike.
"Don't worry, we've gotta find Derek Dude before he's hurt," Mike said.
"Okay, and thanks again," I said, hugging him tightly.
Mike and I walked around for almost an hour when we decided to go back home.
I opened the door to be greeted by Sonny Moor.
"What the fuck are you doing here?!" I demanded.
"Well I was looking for Rebel and Derek," he said looking at me...Rebel was pretty damn short to be shorter than this guy.
"Have you found Derek Dude?" I asked.
"Yeah I called his cell," Sonny replied.
"When I called it, it said that the service was disconnected."
"Well maybe he blocked your number," he said smirking and sitting on the couch.
"I called on Rebel's phone dumb ass, I don't have his number!" I snapped.
Mike sat next to me with his arms around me.
Sonny looked around and pulled the sleeping Rebel onto his lap.
I gritted my teeth.
"Who let you in?" I asked trying to calm myself down before I hurt him.
"Derek," he answered.
"Right...and why are you here?" I snapped.
He looked at Rebel and smirked, Valen walked in and I knew instantly from Valens face that he didn't like Sonny.
"What's he doin' here?" Valen demanded pointing a shaky finger at Sonny.
"Fucked if I know," I replied.
"Kick him out!" he snapped.
"You!" I retorted.
"Valen...why don't you like him? He's a jerk but, why?" I asked quietly
Valen took me aside, I didn't feel comfortable with being alone with Valen, so I took Mike's hand.
"He screwed with Rebel and Derek's relationship once too many times," Valen hissed.
"I've heard she and Sonny only did it once," I whispered.
"More then once," he corrected.
"Oh shit..." I said looking at him. He was fucking sexy but...he's a fuckwit!!!
"That's not true..." I said.
"She wouldn't do that to Derek, you're lying!" I snapped.
"No...she's my best friend I'm not," said Valen, "See the scars on her arm...that fucker drugs her."
"I don't know what to believe!" I yelled.
I stalked off to my room and lay on my bed...it smelled of Bam, this made me cry in frustration, and sadness.
I fell asleep; the next morning I woke up to find the Green Day guys cooking...but no Valen, Rebel or Derek OR Sonny.
"Oh shit!" I yelled. "What the hell happened?! Where is Rebel Derek Dude and Sonny?!" I snapped.
"Gone," Tré said.
"Gone where!?" I demanded.
"They're gone...Valen packed Rebel's bags and took her home, I think, he said he's had enough of Derek and Sonny so he's taking her home," said Billie Joe, Tré offered me a bowl of cereal.
"Fucking Derek and Sonny!" I snapped.
"Hey it's alright," Mike said.
He sat on the chair next to mine and gave me a massage.
"Bah..." I said.
"What?" Billie Joe asked.
"I didn't get to say goodbye and they're gone..." I said.
"Well...maybe we should go visit them!" said Billie.
"I know she lives in Townsville...that's all. I don't know specific address or anything," I said glumly.
"I'll find a way!" Tré declared.
"Meanwhile, I probably should go to school," I said.
"Yeah, this time, actually go to school," Tré said, smirking.
"Mike will you pick me up?" I asked.
He nodded.
"Thanks, see ya in the afternoon," I said.
I sat in school bored shitless and thinking...I wonder what it's like in Townsville...
It was mufti today, and some preps came up to me.
"Like, Green Day is like totally last year!" one of them declared.
"Shut the fuck up, Princess, or I'll make your eye purple to match your expensive assed sweater!" I threatened.
"Oh well we think Billy Jo would be better off as a football player, he's hot," she said.
"YEAH OR GO SOLO WITH A R&B ALBUM!" one of them yelled.
I'd fucking had it with them, constantly bagging out what I like.
I got up and punched one in the face, and started to beat the shit out of the others until I was pulled off.
"I warned you!" I snapped.
"Now that's my girl!" Tré cheered as he picked me up.
I was sitting next to Mike in the back seat.
"So what did they say anyway?" Billie Joe asked.
"They said you should do R&B or play football!" I said.
"Ew fuck that..." he said shuddering.
"That's what happens when people talk shit about you guys to me!" I said. "DON'T FUCKING MESS WITH ME!" I yelled.
"Haha that's the Morreh we know," said Tré and Mike and Billie nodded.
"Exactly. No more depressing shit from me no more," I said.
"LET'S GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE AND GO TO TOWNSVILLE!"
"YAY!" they all yelled as we pulled up at the airport.
"By the way, we got all of your shit from home," Tré said, grinning.
"Fucking hell, it's like you planned this," I laughed.
On the plane I was a bit freaked because I'd seen all f those 9-11 attacks on TV.
"Fucking war," I mumbled.
"Hehe, maybe," said Tré.
"I meant war is gay, you dumbass," I said, clutching the seat.
"Hey, nothing's gonna happen," Billie Joe said.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yes, Morreh," he said.
I sighed.
"I can make everything okay," Mike whispered in my ear, Billie and Tré were talking, obviously not paying attention.
"Alright," I said.
I felt someone shake me. "LOOK MORREH TOWNSVILLE!" said Mike as we flew over Castle Hill and Magnetic Island.
"Oh sweet! This kicks Sydney's ass!" I declared.
Mike laughed.
"You haven't been out much, have you?" he asked.
"Shut up, it's not my fault my mum and the dude posing as my dad made me live a sheltered life," I said as I poked his chest.
We landed in Garbutt Airport and walked out...I handed Billie Joe, Mike and Tré some sunnies for some sort of a disguise.
"What the fuck?" Tré asked.
"Disguise, you moron." I laughed.
"Quiet you," he said as he poked me.
"Let's stay in a hotel," Billie Joe said.
"Alright," Mike said.
"Bags sharing a room with Mike!" I yelped.
"Fine, that means gay sex for you and me Billie," Tré said. Billie shuddered and hailed a taxi.
We put all of our things in the boot and made the driver take us to the nearest hotel.
It was called the Sugar Shaker because it looks like one...the locals were really friendly.
Billie got the keys to his and Tré's room, and I got the keys to Mike's room and me.
"No sex for you two," Tré said as he shut the door for his room.
Mike pulled out the bag that had the bondage shit that I bought for Bam and me.
"How'd you sneak that through airport security?!" I asked, somewhat shocked.
"Just a few autographs," he said.
I smiled and looked out the window...we were on the top floor...that island looked so pretty, I think Rebel mentioned a few times how she lived there...
"What ya looking' at?" Mike asked.
"Maggie Island," I said. "I think she lives there," I added.
"Rebel?" he confirmed.
I nodded.
"Can seeing her wait...I'm horney..." he said.
"Why are you horny?" I asked.
"Because," he replied.
I smiled and looked at him...dumb males and their horny nature.
"Fine, but you're not gonna get fucked," I said.
"That's alright," he said smirking.
A few hours later...Billie and I were walking towards the ferry terminal, he hadn't been noticed because no one in the world would think that Green Day would go there.
"So she lives on that island over there?" he asked pointing to Maggie Island.
"Yeah, she's only a boat ride away," I said.
"Tré likes her," he whispered in my ear.
"What?!" I asked.
"Yeah, he said it a couple of times, and he said that the way Derek dude was treating her was shit...and he'd treat her better..." Billie trailed off.
"Fuck well...I don't know," I said...all this confusion can't be good. We got off at the Nelly bay Ferry terminal and got on a bus. This island was so pretty...no wonder she wanted to go back here.
"I say we loiter around in pairs, Tré, you come with me," I said. "We need to talk," I added. Throwing Mike a sympathetic look.
"Alright..." he said.
"Call us if you find her place," Mike said.
Tré and me walked down a road near the beach.
"So I hear from sources, you like Rebel," I teased.
"Wouldn't YOU like to know?" he said climbing down some rocks onto the beach.
"Would you like me to repeat what a certain Billiam Joseph told me?" I asked.
"He told you!?!" Tré demanded.
"So you do?" I teased.
"Fine I sort of do..." he said taking off his shoes and soaking his feet in the water.
"Sorta do?" I asked. "When it comes to love, there is no 'sorta do's', you either do or you don't, now which is it?" I asked. "I know she has a crush on you," I added.
"No...I was listening to her talking to that Valen guy one night and she's over it," he said sighing.
"Awe," I said, hugging him. "What was she saying to him? Surely she's not over you..." I stated.
"Yes...I'm afraid it is...she still has a thing for Billie apparently I don't know...that woman is complicated," he said.
"Billie, as in Billie Joe?!" I asked, somewhat gob smacked, there was no way she liked him.
"Yeah...Billie...it's muffed hey..." he said looking at each of the houses.
"Yeah it is..." I agreed.
I put my head on Tré's shoulder and began to hum the tune, "One for the razor backs."
