Untitled, chapter 2
As we left the building I heard someone shouting my name so obviously I turned round and Green Day were walking towards us.
"Hey um, Mike's having a barbeque next month for um, family and friends we wondered if you guys would you know wanna come? I mean only - only if you want to," Billie stammered I always wondered why he was so how do I put it not shy, kinda like a deer in the headlights around me. Well I found out at the BBQ
"Bring your bikini," Tré added cheekily with a wink.

It was the week after we got our record deal we had phoned all our relatives and run up a HUGE phone bill but hey we got over it. My mum definitely wasn't happy;
"...A rock star is not a respectable job for a young lady." Does she live in the stone ages? And yet when she spoke to Tanya she seemed pleased for her!
So I told her; "...Mum we've been given an amazing opportunity and you always told me to take life by the horns and try everything it throws at you." That got her to shut up and change the subject - but I wasn't really paying attention it was something about my brother hmm...
A week after that conversation with my mum The Deadly Sins were in the studio writing their very first album together, and loving every minute of it. It's a lot harder than it seems you have to think of every single memory of everything you've ever been through to make a fairly good single, and I found it really hard because it took me back it some of the emotional places I said I would never go again. But as the days turned to weeks we found it easier, to go back there and easier to make the songs a sort of story, I mean everything came from us and it was about us in a way but we made it so that it didn't sound like it.
As you may or may not know recording is done in stages and we started with the drum parts, they sounded amazing; we were then going to go on to doing bass, then the guitars with Ben first then me, vocals came second last then we did some percussion it seemed the easiest way to do it.

The day of the barbeque had arrived and we found that their was some spare time before hand so we decided to got to the studio and just jam or try and fix/finish some songs, seeing as Billie and Rob had taught us how to produce. About 30mins into our jamming session Billie came in, obviously didn't expect to see anyone in there and about jumped out of his skin!
"I lost my phone and I thought I'd better check here incase I left it after your recording session last night. Ah! Here it is!" he said rather sheepishly and in about 20 seconds flat.
He ended up getting us to the barbeque.
"Hey isn't that Blink-182?" Matt asked Billie as we drove up and there was 3 guys coming out of a van.
"Yeah didn't we tell you?"
"Tell us what?"
"That there is going to be other bands there as well as us and yous?...Oh well now you know."
"Who else is coming like?" I asked him he turned round to answer my question, just caught my eye and looked away
"Ok maybe there is only one other band apart from us and yous and that's Blink and of course our ex-wives are bringing our kids."
Mike's house was amazing it was huge! And the garden - even bigger!
Adie came through with Joey and Jakob and another woman who I guessed to be Claudia with Frankito and showed us where we could get changed into our swim wear. Tanya was wearing her red bikini and I was wearing my blue and chocolate colored one so it went with my hair (I have brown hair ands blue slices) and made my tattoos visible (I have a Green Day one on my hip which is like a musical stave with two crochets on the lines which represent GD and a 4beat minim on B, and I also have a bass clef on the underside of my left wrist, and a treble clef on the underside of my right wrist), I followed her outside, where the party was in full swing, Mike had the BBQ going, there was a game of chicken going on in the pool (where it looked like Tré and Claudia were winning against Travis Barker and his girlfriend Shanna), and there was general chit chat. I felt so out of place and really awkward, everybody in the vicinity had more than one critically acclaimed album and we were still WRITING our FIRST. Eccy was taking it all in his stride; he's a cocky wee shit, and was going round talking to different drummers from different groups. Tanya had left me and was talking to Tom Delonge's fiancé, Adie and Anastasia must have noticed that I felt and looked extremely awkward so they came over to talk.
"What do think of Mike's house?" Ana asked casually,
"Oh um it's amazing it's so big!" I replied.
"I know it's too big for one person though," Mike said sneaking up on us.
"So is Billie's - its fine when Joey and Jake stay with him for the weekend though," Adie added.
"Speaking of Billie does anyone know why he acts so...weird around me?" I asked out of curiosity.
"He really likes you - a lot," Tré said rather out of breath after just beating Travis and Shanna.
"Well thank Christ he likes me and isn't being awkward because he hates me!"
"No Ash he likes you. Do you like him?" Mike asked.
"I guess I haven't really thought off him like that, hmm...yeah, I think I do" I said uncertainly.
"Well we have to do something about that now don't we." Tré said with a devilish glint in his eyes.
"No Tré what are you gonna do? Tré seriously what are you doing?" I panicked - I mean yeah I like Billie Joe I think but what if they were just winding me up and he doesn't really feel the same way, I don't want to jeopardize any friendship we may have and I don't want to put anymore awkwardness in the air at work, what do I do?
