Zoe, Her Father, and The Guys, chapter 4

We reached the Coffee shop, only to find Tre ordering. I watched him and he came out with some drink.

"Hey Dad." I said as I walked up and hugged him.

"Hey girl." He replied, putting an arm around my shoulders.

"Hey Dad, can I have the house phone number?" I asked sweetly.

"First, yes you may. Second, why?" he questioned.

"I made some friends. He wants to call me." I simply explained.

"He?" Tre asked, with a devilish smile.

"We are just friends. He and his buds are right over there." I said, pointing and signaling for them to come over. The obeyed and walked over. "Dad, this is Aaron, Zac, Andy, Pete, and..." I started.

"And Little Joey." Dad cut off.

"Tre," he said, embarrassed.

"Come on Joe. Have a sense of humor. Your Dad is coming over tonight and we always talk about you or Jakob. Get over it." Dad remarked.

"So Dad, can you give them the number? Joey should know it though." I asked again.

"Sure. Get your cells out." Dad advised. Aaron was the first one with his out.
"555-8548." Dad said.

"Dad, while we're out, can I look at a cell phone?" I asked.

"No need to. I already got you one." He said as he pulled out a Verison Wireless Picture Phone.

"Oh Dad. Thank you!" I said, hugging him, then taking the phone.

"So what did you buy?" He asked, looking down at my bags.

"Stuff. Now I need a computer." I laughed.

"We'll see for your birthday. It is only a month away." he said.

"Dad, when we get done, can I take them to the house and hang out?" I asked as sweetly as I could.

"Sure, but if I find out that one beer is taken, you will be in big trouble. All of you," he replied, as he pointed to each of us, "Especially you, Joey." he continued.

"Thanks. Bye Dad." I said before I headed out.

"Bye." he said, taking a sip of his coffee.

I headed to the last store I wanted to go to: Nirvana. I looked around with the guys. Joey just laughed when I bought the shirt that I found. It was a Green Day shirt with the photo that was on front of RollingStone Magazine. Then, on the back, it had the guys and tour dates.

"What is so funny?" I asked with a giggle.

"It's just that your Dad is Tre Cool. You can see him and the guys anytime. You don't need a shirt to see them." he said with a mile wide smile.

"Zoe, you ready to go?" Aaron asked as he snaked an arm around my waist.

"Yeah. Let's get going to my house. Tre will be home later." I answered.

"Okay. Come on guys," Aaron said as he motioned for the guys to follow him and me.
