The Sweetest Goodbyes (Not Green Day Related), chapter 1
I don't remember a lot about that day except I was going to wal-mart, and I was walking down the clothes aisle, and then everything went black. I woke up in the back of an ambulance I could see my friend Autumn sitting next to the bed. I started trying to ask "What had happened" but I was only silenced by the sirens.
They carried me in to a room where there was three or four doctors they started do test and drawing blood before I knew I was knocked out. I woke to hear panic coming from the hallway it was my dad. "No" he yelled "that can't be possible!" I knew something was wrong with me.
My dad came in with a scared look on his face. "What's the matter?" I asked.
He sat down on the chair next to my bed. "Abbey I have to tell you something," he said almost crying.
"What?" I asked trying to remain calm.
"You're going to die," he said tears streaming down his face. Then I heard more panic. The door burst open. Luke ran to my side tears flowing from his sweet blue eyes.
"Why?" he screamed while holding me in his arms. I loudly cried on his shoulder. He rubbed my cheek with his thumb. I gently kissed him. My dad walked out.
I was weak. "Luke, please get me out of here, If i'm gonna die I wanna be with you when I do," I cried wearily.
"Hold on," he said running his hands towards the IV's. He gently pulled them out. He lifted me out of bed and slid the window open. We were on the first floor. He slid us both through it. He carried me to his car.
He put me in the passenger seat. He jumped in the other side, and we took off. We drove for about twenty minutes, he held my hand, the entire time. We stopped somewhere dark. He took me into his arms. I started to kiss him. The kiss began to deepen. I started to lift off his AC/DC shirt. "Wait," he said "You're not strong enough."
"I love you. This is what I want," I said weakly. I took off his shirt. We went slow, and let it last as long as possible.
He put on his clothes, and began to drive. I was wrapped in a jacket. I felt sleepier than I ever have, but I wasn't ready to go. We stopped in a parking lot. "I think I see the light," I said.
"I love you. Please don't leave me," he said sweeping my naked, nearly lifeless body into his arms.
"I love you too. Luke, I'm...I'm scared," I said gently. My eyes were heavy. He ran his fingers through my short redish-brown hair. Tears were now streaming from those beautiful blue eyes again. I lifted my hand, and wiped them away. A smile spread acrossed his face, then the tears came back. Things started to fog up. "I love you more than you ever...might know," I said.
"I don't know what to say except, Your love won't be forgotten by me, Autumn, or Megan. And that I love so much," he said.
We shared one last kiss. My eyes began to close. "Good night, Abbey," he said stroking my hair. Then he kissed my forehead.
"Good night, Luke," I said sleepily.
