I don't get what I love about him. I just do., chapter 4
Billie sat across from me gazing in my eyes. I seen the sweat drop off of his face. I didn't know whether it was from practice or if it was because he was nervous. It was very hard to look back at him because I was more nervous then I have ever been in my life. Here was the guy that I have liked sence we were little kids and now he wrote a song for me? This is what I have been wanting for forever now and I'm not going to screw this up. Billie picked up his guitar pick and strummed a beautiful chord. He cleared his throat and began to sing.
"Late last night I had a dream
And she was in it again
She and I were in the sky
Flying hand in hand
I woke up in a cold sweat
Wishing she was by my side
Praying that she'll dry tears
Left on my face I've cried
Oh I love her
Keep dreaming of her
Will I understand
If she wants to be my friend?"
I didn't know what to think. I loved every minute of it but I also hated the fact that this is how he feels about me. He thinks that I only want to be his friend. I thought that was how he felt about me.
"Come ease the pain that's in my heart...
Come ease the pain that's in my heart...
Come ease the pain that's in my heart..."
I felt like crying. His voice so soft and low, singing about me. The one he loves and has loved. I'm to scared to say anything. He reached the end of the song and stopped.
"Samantha, I love you."
My heart felt like it just got squeezed. I began breathing in little breaths. He reached for my hands and cupped them in his own. I wanted to tell him that I loved him but nothing would come out of my mouth.
"Samantha, please say something."
The room began spinning. Everything around me just went black. I awoke inside Billie's house, laying on his couch, bundled in a thick blanket.
"You awake?"
Billie leaned over my face with a wet cold rag in his hand. I got up slowly rubbing my head. I guess I landed head first with the concrete.
"What happened?"
"Well, I sang you the song I made for you and you just passed out, was it that bad?"
"Billie it was amazing, I loved it!"
"Then how come you passed out?"
"Because it was a lot of pressure, I didn't know how to tell you that I......"
"You what?"
It all came down to this. I can do it I can do it.
"That I love you too Billie."
