The day the world ended, chapter 3

Syd's POV:

She. Is such. A maniac. Maybe that's why she's my best friend. Other than Vin of course. My longtime boyfriend. Okay, a month. He was the first boy ever interested in me though. And I loved him. He was hot. With black hair streaked with blonde, brown, and red. A perfectly smile... perfectly goofy, yet sweet, kind, caring and loving. He was the best thing that ever happened to me, I loved him for it. The way he kissed me, the way he massaged my shoulders, my back, or my neck when I was stressed. He kept me from going back to how I was before the... accident, before Billie, before Blue, and before him. I was depressed, my arms constantly marked with lines of dried blood from slicing my arms with a razor. I still bore the scars. I was suicidal, I must have tried to kill myself 5 or more times. My wrists and necks had the scars too. Then Blue met me, Billie was born, and eventually I met Vin. They were my shining stars, and I loved them. But what they didn't know was that they were the only things holding me to life. Without them my threads would break, and I was so afraid that this time I would succeed in the death of myself.
I told Blue I'd call her later, and walked to my Dad's house. I'd made Billie a promise and I intended to keep it.

Since, obviously, being 16, I had a car. Even though I'm fucking scared I'll get in another accident... I shudder at the thought... I have to drive and face my fear.

"Billie!" I called sweetly. He came bounding down the stairs, such a cutie. His little green eyes sparkled even though the hall was dim. He smiled with his whole heart. "MALL!!!" I shouted.

"Yay! Let's go, quick!" he ran out the door before me, somehow, and bounced on his way to the car. Geez, if I were 9, and not his sister, I'd fall in love with him, I swear I would! i got into the car quickly and sped off to our destination.

We reached the mall and got out. "Billie... What if we got you a little... makeover?"

"NO makeup, no, not like last time..." Okay, it MAY be true that I'd talked him into Blue giving him a makeover... he ended up looking like a clown. Makeup all over.

"No, not that kind... How about black hair?" That's when his punkish reign began.
Still Syd's POV:

I took him to Phil, my very cool hairdresser. His hair was dirty blonde and he had all kinds of cool tattoos. Including a special one, Leanne, after his beautiful little girl, and Mary-Jane after his wife.

"What color today Syd?" he asked, walking up and hugging me when he saw me walk through the door.

"Not today, I think I'll keep red for a while. Billie here is getting black, then I think we'll spike his hair up," I said, ruffling his brown, soon to be black, hair fondly.

"Sounds good. You've always had an eye for a good style."

I smiled. "I'll be back soon Billie. I'm gonna get you something. Be good for Phil, okay?"

"Yay! What?" he asked, green eyes shining as he bounced excitedly into the tall, red, spindly chair.

"You'll see, it's a surprise." Smiling, I left Phil's place and headed towards Hot Topic. I'd get some school clothes while there, as well as picking up Billie's present.

I happily exchanged money for my new Ramones shirt and Billie's present. He's going to learn the law of the land... of guy's punk fashion. When I got back to the stylist, Billie was done. He looked WONDEFUL!!! Blue would be proud, of course, if she'd gotten to him, it might be the color of cotton candy... the pink kind. Anyways, he was well on his way to being a little rocker. Heh, rocker. Rocking chair! Oh my dog, why is Blue getting into my head?!

"You look fabulantacious!" I squealed like a prep. I hugged my brother to death.

"Okay, okay, you're squashing me! You're squashing me!!!" His little arms flailed around underneath me... sorta. I wasn't on top of him, but you get the point. I got 'off him' and gave him the bag, but not before taking out my shirt.

"There's your present!"

"COOL!!! A belt and a... tie?" he asked. "But... I'm not a man..."

"Ah, there's the beauty of it. You ARE a man to me! You'll be whoever you want to, okay, Bud?"

"Yes sir! I mean, ma'am." He hugged me again. I helped him put on the tres fab studded belt and the red and black striped tie. Little did I know that he'd be wearing it well into his thirties.

Blue's POV:

I ran around in triangles because circles are so ordinary, drinking my orange mocha frappuccino as I waited for Syd and Billie to meet me. Brain freeze hit hard and fast, and I collapsed into a shivering heap on the floor of the mall. My frappuccino spilled and I pouted before fading into an unconscious state.
