So Now What???, chapter 3

*Billie's POV*

I watched as the ground came closer and closer, I took off my seatbelt and leaned forward, grabbing on to the seat in front of me. 10 seconds later I heard crunching and the lights in the cabin went out. It all seemed like slow motion. I looked up slightly and saw the 3 people in front of me being engulfed by the metal of the plane, seeming to disappear. I looked over and saw the little girl in the picture, Ava Grace Armstrong, sitting next to a woman, crying. I jumped up and grabber her, running to the back of the plane. I still heard the sound of the plane crashing and people screaming. I got to the back of the plane and held a crying girl in my arms. I saw a pregnant woman and her husband sitting helplessly. I sat there with Ava in my arms until I heard the final crunch and Ava was ripped from my arms.

Finally when it was all over I looked around and saw everyone either dead or lying there, hurt terribly. I could not feel any pain anywhere on my body. I stood up and there were no exits, just chaos. I saw a small hole and climbed through. I saw camera people and policemen, ambulances and much more. "Sir, are you hurt?" someone asked me.

"No, I'm not."

"Okay then, please, the airplane will most likely blow up at any minute, we need you out of the way."

"MY GRANDDAUGHTER IS IN THERE!"

"I'm sorry sir, we're doing the best we can." I took off running towards the plane.

"SIR COME BACK!"

*Rebyl's POV*

"We are here watching as a heroic man goes back into the plane even after being told that it could blow up at any minute." I watched as they zoomed in on the guy, who just happened to be MY DAD! I started yelling at the TV.

"DAD WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM! DON'T GO IN THERE!" I yell at the TV sometimes when adventure movies and reality shows are on, but this is real life, with someone I love. Not the same thing as a movie. My mom cried more as anger rose up in my chest. Why did he even go? It's my entire fault!

*Billie's POV*

I walked into the plane and started yelling for Ava. I saw the pregnant woman and she was breathing just like Adie did when she had our kids. That lady is in labor! I picked her up the best I could and took her out of the plane I sat her down in front of an ambulance.

"THANK YOU BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG! YOU JUST SAVED MY BABY'S LIFE, AND MINE!" I gave her a nod and ran back into the plane. I found her husband bleeding pretty bad in his leg. I picked him up too and carried him out.

"Dude, your baby is about to be born, I think you need to be there for your wife," I told him.

"Thank you Billie Joe. It's an honor to be talking to you." I keep forgetting I'm famous. Damn. I ran back into the plane. I saw many other people until I finally found Ava in the same position Rebyl gets in when she's stressed or sad. Curled up in a ball, head down, crying.

"Don't worry Ava, I'm here. You see, I'm your grandpa." I reached my hand out to her and she got scared.

"Come on Ava, I need you to come here so we can get out!" Finally after a lot of compromise, she grabbed my hand. I heard something blow up in the distance. I picked her up and ran.

"Your mom is Rebyl Jayde Armstrong, if I don't get out of this and you do, go find her okay?" She shook her head and I pushed her through the hole. As I made to slip out of the hole, the whole plane blew up and I went flying. Suddenly everything stopped and I was walking through a dark tunnel. There was a light and I started to walk towards it.

"Billie Joe don't!" I heard the unmistakable voice of my dad.

"Dad?"

"Billie, don't go towards the light, it's not your time yet!"

"Are you sure?"

"I'm positive, heard it from the big man himself!"

"Big man?"

"God...stupid."

"Oh, so he's real?"

"Yeah, just like I told you growing up. Now go on back home Billie; your kids need a dad, especially Rebyl. She will need you more than ever now."

"Why?"

"Look behind you." I turned around and saw Ava walking towards the light.

"Hi grandpa, I'm sorry but you didn't get me out in time. I love you, and tell mommy I love her too."

"No, Ava, please don't go!" I said with a tear in my eye.

"Sorry grandpa but it's my time. I wish I could stay longer. I might see you in a few years." With that she disappeared in the light. I ran after her.

"BILLIE JOE, NO!" I heard my dad behind me. I saw a flash of blinding light and then I saw Ava walking away from me in a beautiful white gown and a halo. I watched as wings slowly formed. I looked at myself and realized that I too, was wearing a white gown with a halo. No, I'm not dead, I refuse to be dead! Oh god, I'm dead! I ran over to Ava and picked her up.

"Ava, come on, let's go home!"

"But Grandpa, I don't want to, I want to stay here!"

"Please, Ava, your mom wants you home."

"THERE IS NO TURNING BACK!" I heard a yell. I looked behind me and saw Jesus standing there.

"Please, I need to go back with my family, and I need to take Ava with me! PLEASE!"

"Recite the Lord's Prayer and I may let you go," Jesus said in a kind voice.

I tried to think of all the times when I was younger and we recited it at Church. "Um, our father, who are in Heaven, er, hollowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us of our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespassed against us, and lead us not into temptation," I recited, watching as a smile formed on Jesus' face. Oh god what's the rest?
