Their Dirty Little Secret, chapter 1
Hey I am Jamie Binal. I am just your random emo kid you see hangin out behind your local 7/11 smoking with friends. Ya, I was that normal kid until...until, well, let me start from the beginning.
It all started when I was 14. It was the begining of 8th grade. I was a totally fine child. I was popular, had great friends, and my life was perfect! About the middle of November that my father started acting different. He would come home from work is a jealous rage. As soon as he laid eyes on my mother he would rush me out of the room. I heard terrible screams from my mother and crashing objects on the marble floor.
This happened all the day, I ran and locked myself in my room. I turned on my Green Day CDs up so loud so that no one heard me screaming, and I couldn't hear their screaming! It was awful. That was it, that's when it happened. I left my old life, my old friends, the old me! I started hanging out with the wrong crowd. I started drugs, slitting myself, and hanging with the local emo kids.
My dad didn't care. I didn't even know why he was so mad at my mother! They use to be so much in love! It was just so sudden! So sudden in fact, that I decided to run away, something I never thought I would ever do.
I didn't care where I went, I just kept running and running! After like a few hours. I was getting really tired. I stoped at this cafe called Ruby's Can't Fail Cafe. I walked in, and it was perfect! The smell of the food made my mouth water! Even the staff was soooo sweet!
"Hello hun!" said the waitress, "my name is Michelle. Are you going to sit down, or are you going to stand there all day hun?"
"Thanks, my name is Jamie, and yes I am starving!" I said. She was staring at my nose ring, I could tell. I was hoping she wasnt scared of me! She was so sweet! Her eyes were filled with kindness!
"Well then you came to the right place! Follow me hun, I will get you the best seat in the house!"
I followed her over to the bar area. It was like a breakfast restaurant bar, not a alcohol bar. I ordered a glass of orange juice and some french toast. It was to die for! Then suddenly I heard some people talking.
"The manager is coming to the cafe today! We can actually meet him today!"
What's so great about meeting the manager? I thought to myself. And that's when he walked in the door. I was a fan of Green Day but I wasn't obsessed! I didn't know that Mike Dirnt OWNED this cafe! My heart stopped! I couldn't believe I was in the same room as him.
That's when Michelle walked past me and gave me a little wink, then she walked to Mike. She was telling him something about me, I knew cause she kept looking back at me. When he started walking twords me was when I started freaking out inside!
"Hello, I am Mike Dirnt!" Mike said as he shook me head.
"H...H...Hey, I am Ja...Jamie! It is a pleasure to meet you Mike!" I said very nervously. "But why am I so important...I mean why did you choose me to talk to?" I asked.
"Let's go to my office and then I will tell you," He said kind of nervously, pulling me back to his office.
