A Letter To Elise, chapter 12
*beep* *beep*. The clock was making that stressing sound.
"-Wait, 5 more minutes.-" And Robert fell asleep again.
50 minutes later...
*beep* *beep* The clock again.
"-Ok, Ok, I am ready, what time is it?-" Said Robert, and he looked at the clock.
"'WHAT!!?, wait. Shit, I have to go... Why did I fell asleep?"
It was 12:00 o'clock. Elise' house was 20 minutes from Robert's house. Robert went downstairs really rushed, as if Devil was chasing him.
"-Hey Robert, why are you so rushed?"
"-Mom, Elise is going, and I woke up really late. Why didn't you wake me up? don't worry, I don't have time for explanations. I need to go."
"-Bur Robert, it's late. You won't. Good luck Anyway."
After those last words, the door was slammed. Robert headed to Elise's house without looking back and running as fast as he could. He tripped, but he stood up without regretting, he was running, he knew this time there was no tomorrow. He turned exactly the corner. He was with exact time, without wasting time, the falls are exceptions. But he was running and running. finally he made it to Elise' house. Those 20 minutes he had to walk, turned out to be 7, he then stopped at Elise' house. He rested sometime, but he noticed no one was there.
"-What are you waiting for Robert? I knew you were not going to be early. You are late as always when it comes to be a special Ocassion-" This was Peter's voice.
"-No no no. This can't be happening!-" Robert Cried.
"-Yes this is happening."
"-Why? I woke up early, and I knew I had to. But I fell asleep. Why did I have to fall asleep at this time? Why didn't I stayed awak like in the past? Elise is now gone, and there's nothing I can do."
"-you are right. Elise was expecting you. '5 more mintues mom, I know he will come'-she said. Poor Elise, Robert you broke her heart even more, if there was a piece that was not broken."
"-Shut up, I know I did very wrong. But do you know where she went?"
"-No, I don't she didn't want to tell me."
"-but what were her last words? I want to know."
"-Oh yeah, Elise, just... Well, I said good bye to her, and I noticed she was going to cry, her tone of voice also sounded worried. Then, a tear drop fell. And she got into the car, then she just said bye."
"-But, she knew I was her friend."
"-No, she didn't. Don't you remember the last things you said to her? Robert, Welcome to Reality, she is gone, and you ended up breaking her heart and being an enemy to her..."
Robert then headed home, very sad, he was almost crying. He walked slowly, looking at the floor. When he arrived to his house, his mother was able to notice his tears. She tried to consolate him, but it was useless. Robert didn't listen to her. He then went upstairs, he went into his room, and threw himself at the bed... After some seconds, he started to cry...
"-Robert, are you ok, let me in..."-said his mom.
"-No, Mother, I want to be alone, I want to cry till I don't have anymore tears, and till my eyes have a drought. I want to forget all, and don't start, I'll be here forever."
"-Robert come on, begin thinking, she is gone, and you have to start again."
"-Mom, just leave me alone..."
After some hours, Robert finally raised his head, and he looked at the sky. It was very very dark, there was no star wich could give him a spark of hope, he then, grabbed a piece of paper, and a pen. He started to write something...
"-Wait, 5 more minutes.-" And Robert fell asleep again.
