A Letter To Elise, chapter 14
Next day...
When Robert woke up, Elise was not there.
"-Elise?-where did you go?"
He went downstairs after putting on his clothes. Elise was watching TV,
"-So, Elise, are you ready for breakfast?"
"-Don't you have to go to work?"
"-OH, yes I have to, thanks for reminding me."
On the way to his work, Robert became so angry with Elise, that he almost crashed. He was very distracted with last night, and today's attitude. He then arrived work very rushed 'cause of traffic jam. The day at work went bad, it was really stressing. After hours and hours of signing papers, he went home.
When he arrived, and looked Elise, he got mad and replied:
"-Are you still here?"
"-Yes, what's the matter?"
"-Nothing, it's just that you are always here, and I can't be in this part of the house."
"-Robert, the house is not so small, you can go to another place."
"-Elise stop it, I don't want to argue, let me be here for sometime."
"-No, I won't. I own the house as well as you do, So I can stay wherever damn I want."
"-Don't raise your tone of voice with me. Who do you think you are?"
"-Robert shut up, and leave me alone,"
"-Elise, go to the other part, I want to have dinner after this bad day."
"-It was your fault. You didn't have breakfast or wake up early-"
"-Yes, it's cause I found the clock on the floor, broken."
"-Yes, the sound annoyed me a lot. So I threw it."
"-Elise, I needed that clock,"
"-Sorry, better luck next time."
Robert got mad and threw the first thing he saw to the TV. It was Elise' mother flower pot, It was the only thing Elise had from her mother before she died. Both pot and TV broke. And Elise yelled at Robert.
"-Stupid Idiot, That was from my mother. How could you?"
"-I'm sorry Elise, I wasn't thinking."
"-You never think, I don't know why I got married with you, you are such an idiot, and boring."
"-So, that's what you call me now? Well, you have always been an egoist. And you do things for your convenience, you are a stupid woman, oh no, that would be an insult to all women."
"-Think what you want, Nobody ever said that, you are the first one who
complained. I have to say that when I went off school, After some years, I had a boyfriend, and he was very very good to me. Not like you, you are very stupid."
"-Is that the only word you know, stupid? Think more, no, that would be wasting your energy and burning out your brain, it only can stand 1 word per minute."
"-Don't call me like that dumbass. I'm better than you."
Again they started to fight, and as always, they went to different places, Robert stayed there in the living room, and started to hit everything that could stand in his way. HE was very furious. Elise went to their bed room, and she started to throw Robert's things out of the room while she was crying.
"-Hey what are you doing?"
"-I don't want you to sleep here tonight, go find another place."
"-Fine, I didn't want to stay with you. You are disgusting."
Robert didn't go out, he stayed there, Elise's attempts to get him out were useless, and she finally decided to leave. She went to Andrew and Shauna's place.
"-Ok, I'm leaving, but not forever, Andrew and Shauna will understand me, and help me get you out of here forever..."
Robert stayed there, he seemed to not care, and he had dinner alone...
