Chapter 5
I was so excited as I finished getting ready for the surprise dinner Shane was taking me out for our 8 month anniversary, I wasn't sure what he had planned but I loved surprises so I didn't mind
At 6 he picked me up, I wore a pair of knee high boots, a black and red skirt and a silky black halter and felt great because I never got to dress up.
"You look beautiful" he beamed
"You don't look too bad yourself"
We went to the same restaurant we went to on our first date and then he blindfolded me and took me to the car
"Where are we going?" I giggled
"You will see when we get there"
Before I knew it we had pulled over and he helped me out of the car
He took off the blindfold and I looked around, we were at a secluded beach with a beautiful view of the stars
"Shane its gorgeous here"
"Not as gorgeous as you"
I slapped him playfully "Not as corny as you"
"you haven't seen corny yet babe" he laughed and he pulled out a blanket and a bottle of champagne
"very nice"
we sat down and he cracked open the bottle and poured us a glass each
"this is just perfect Im so glad you brought us here" I said and kissed him deeply
"this isn't all" I looked surprised "really" I asked
He handed me and single red rose and looked into my eyes before pulling a silver chain with a heart on it and clasping it around my neck "Its gorgeous thank you so much"
"I love you Lydia" he whispered
"What" I sputtered
"I love you" he repeated
my mind raced did I love him? How could I not he was perfect the complete opposite to Billie Joe? I decided I should just latch on because Billie Joe would never love me the way he does and I don't want to wait around for him to get over his floozy every different night phase.
"I love you too" I said before starting to make out with him, I went to take off his shirt but he stopped me. "Hey don't you think this is a bit too fast"
I sighed "But I thought you wanted this"
"Yes but I want it to be perfect for you, I want it to be as special as you are"
I could have cried, I felt so stupid he was the sweetest guy ever and here I was wondering wether I could love him or not.
"Ok your right we should wait"
"Exactly our first times should be perfect"
I almost choked, the hottest jock in school was a VIRGIN
"are you ok" he asked
"Im fine just a little cold"
"alright lets go then, if we hurry you might be able to catch the guys last set"
As we got the bar, Shane got a phone call
"What's wrong?"
"Its my little sis she's in the hospital and I have to go watch my brother for my parents"
"Oh god I hope she's ok"
"I can drop you off home on my way if you like"
"Its ok babe go ill catch a ride home with Tre or Mike" I said
"Ok bye"
He rushed out and I spotted Tre chatting up some bleach blonde at the bar
"Hey Frankie" I said
"Hey Dia look at you phwoar, you look sexxxxy" he said in his sleazy voice
I laughed "Thanks you're a sweetie"
"You know it"
"So how'd it go" asked Mike as he and Billie Joe walked up to us
"Really Great" I replied
"how'd what go" asked Billie Joe
Tre punched him in the arm "Its there 8 month anniversary dumbass"
"And he said he loved me" I squealed and jumped up and down with mike
"oh my gaaawd" said Tre
"No need to make fun it was perfect" I said in my dreamiest voice watching BJ squirm
"Sooo which of you boys has the pleasure of dropping me off home" I asked
"Why isn't your boyfriend doing it" asked Billie Joe
"His sister is sick so he had to go home"
Tre and Mike looked longingly at their respective blondes and said in unison "BJ will do it"
"Thanks guys" I said sarcastically
"Come on Dia lets go" said Billie Joe pulling me out the back door
"So your little boyfriend said he loved you eh"
"Little boyfriend? Have you looked in the mirror BJ" I said
He ignored me
"so did you say it back?"
"Yes as a matter of fact, I did so that means our ummm arrangement is over" I stated
He pinned me against a wall
"You don't really love him" he whispered, I started breathing heavily "What would you know about love" his hand started creeping up my leg and I moaned
"I know enough about you to know if your in love"
"stop it" I said weakly not even convincing my self
"make me" he said before putting his mouth on mine, just as I thought I had lost control over my motor functions he pulled away.
"When he makes you feel like that, this will be over"
That night I cried, the rules had changed without me even knowing. Billie Joe never stuck to the rules anyway so I should have seen this coming, I wanted him to feel pain the pain I felt I wished his world to crumble the way mine was... .. I got my wish sooner then expected.
The following day I went over to see Anna and have our weekly coffee when I heard yelling and a bag of clothes being thrown out of the door. I ran inside to see Anna in tears and Billie Joe with a bag on his back grabbing his keys and rushing out the door
"I call you later" he yelled out to me as he left
"Anna are you ok, what the hell happened?" I asked
"I kicked him out sugar"
"What the fuck, Why?" I exclaimed
"Because the little shit hasn't been in school for the last few months"
"I know that, I thought he told you" I said
"Ha that boy doesn't tell me anything, he tells me Ma I wanna be in a band, So I told him get a damn job that band will get you no where"
"Let me guess he freaked" I said quietly
"Got it in one, I don't care though if he wants to throw his life away it isn't my problem"
"Anna.."
"No Lydia that's it he is not welcome in this house anymore" she started to sob
I hugged her and said I would call her soon, but I had to go.
I found Billie Joe at Mikes place on the couch completely off his face
I grabbed him by the shirt and threw him outside
"What the fuck is your problem Dia" he yelled
"You asshole, how could you speak to your mother like that" I screamed
"Not so loud geez" he said holding his ears
"YOU WILL GO AND APOLOGISE THAT WOMAN DESERVES RESPECT" I screamed even louder
"If you haven't apologised by the next time I see her, which will be in 2 days your going to be in the most pain you have ever felt in your entire fucking life understand me" I said sinisterly
Tre and Mike watched from the door way and started clapping and cheering

We locked Billie Joe outside and sat down "So he's staying here indefinitely"

"Well the band will need to be together considering we will be you know RECORDING our first cd" said tre
