A Green Day Story, chapter 12

"I hope so..." I muttered, pulling back out of the driveway and sighing. Billie Joe climbed onto the passenger seat with some difficulty, and looked at me.
"Don't worry, Ames. I'm sure he'll be alright..." He said, placing his hand on my shoulder and squeezing it to comfort me. I smiled lightly at him, then continued to drive.
"So... Where we going?" Mike asked, sticking his head through the space in between the passenger and driver's chairs.
"A little place called Kaffe Zero. I saw it a few weeks ago... It just opened up." I replied, pulling into a strip mall and parking in front of a night club. In neon pink colors, the words Kaffe Zero was lit up above the doors.
"Oooh..." Billie said, jumping out of the car. I got out as well and walked over to him. "I hope this place has good music..."
"Me too..." Mike said, leaning against the car beside us. After a couple of moments, we walked up to the place and walked in, flashing the bouncers our drivers licenses.
"Meh... Interesting place." I said, nodding in approval. There was a pretty good local band playing at the stage, people were moshing and headbanging. There was a bar along the wall to the right, and places to sit and other things.
"Wahey! Partay time!" Billie Joe shouted, pushing me into the mosh pit.
"Asshole!" I yelled, and pulled him in with me and we began to mosh.
"Meh..." Mike muttered and walked up to the stage to listen to the local punk band. I looked over to him and ran over and jumped on his back. We both fell over and I began to laugh. It's funny how much being in this type of atmosphere can help all of your sadness wash away.
"To the bar!" I yelped, jumping up and racing over to the bar. I knew I was underage for drinking, being only 19, but I didn't care. Apparently, neither did the bartender, since he gave me a beer without asking for an ID.
Billie Joe sat beside me at the bar and ordered a beer for himself and took a sip of it.
"Billie..." I sighed, and looked over to him. Luckily from where we were, the music wasn't too loud.
"Yes, Amy?"
"Euh... Never mind." I sighed.
"Hey. You remember earlier today when we were in my room and you were beginning to tell me something before Ashley came in?" He asked, drinking up half of his beer.
"Yeah?"
"What were you gonna say?"
"N-nothing..." I replied, drinking up the rest of my drink, and getting another. As if drinking would solve all my problems.
"Here we go again, infatuation touches me just when I thought that it would end" Billie Joe sang a line from one of his band's newest songs. I smiled and we began to sing together.

"Oh but then again it seems
Much more than that but
I'm not sure exactly what you're thinking

Well, I toss and turn all night
Thinking of your ways of effection
But to find that it's not different at all
I throw away my past mistakes
And contemplate my future
That's when I say...
What the hey!

Would I last forever?
You and I together, hand and hand
We run away (far away)
I'm in for nasty weather
But I'll take whatever you can
Give that comes my way (far away)..."

We sang the rest of the song, laughing, and when we finished, we gazed into each other's eyes.
"Amy... Come with me..." Billie said softly, grabbing my wrist and taking me outside. We walked to the alleyway in back of the club. I sat down, leaning against the wall, and staring up at the starry sky.
Billie Joe sat beside me, and turned my head so it was facing his. I gazed into his beautiful green eyes, those eyes I had fallen in love with almost a year ago.
"Amy..." He whispered. I just stared at him, my heart beating faster and faster.
Before we could say anything more, Billie Joe placed his lips over mine and kissed me gently before pulling away slowly and gazing back into my eyes. "I love you..."
"Oh... I love you too, Billie!" I said happily. He pulled me onto his lap and slipped his arms around my waist. Pressing his lips back onto mine, he gently opened my mouth with his lips and slipped his tongue into my mouth. This sent slight shivers up my spine and I kissed him back, allowing my own tongue to slip into his. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and my fingers played around with a bit of his hair. He placed one hand behind my neck to deepen the kiss, and ran the other hand up my back, then back down to rest on my leg.
A few moments later we pulled away, and smiled to each other. It was a perfect moment. I was with the one I loved, under the stars, sharing a moment neither of us would ever forget.
