Runaway, chapter 5
"I...never mind. I need some rest. " Jade waved bye. Billie Joe looked suspiciously at her. Then he exhaled a long sigh and left. Jade turned away and bit her lip. She knew she was going to cry. She didn't know why though. She was getting 'feelings' for Billie Joe & she was pretty sure he had feelings for her too. [sorta hard not to :) ]The only problem was the age difference. Jade didn't care, but it would hurt Billie Joe's rep. Right as she was thinking about that, the doorbell rang. Jade got up and answered it, but no one was there, only a note. About 3 hours later when the boys came through the door, Jade was sitting in her bra & underwear.
At first, they were all staring, because she had a nice body and was gorgeous.
"Nice tits," Tre said.
Jade giggled.
"Yeah, I know....I didn't have to pay anything for them. Pay anything? What do I pay for? Payday! Candy!" Jade giggled.
They all stared. She was definitely stoned.
"Uh.... Jade? Are you stoned?" Mike asked.
"No! I'm stooooooooooooooooooooooooooooned. Stone. Hey a rock hit my face once & like it hurt," Jade giggled.
She took a swig of a vodka bottle.
"My asshhhhh hurts. Will someone kishhhh it?" she slurred.
"I WILL!!" Tre said excitedly.
Jade bent down and right when Tre was about to kiss it, she fell over and so did Tre. Jade started laughing like a lunatic and took another swig of her bottle. Billie Joe and Mike looked at each other and sighed. Mike walked over, grabbed Jade's vodka bottle and threw it outside. Immediatly, Jade's face darkened and she punched Mike in the face. Mike staggered back, having a bloody nose which hurt intensely. Jade ran out the door. Or at least she tried too. She ran into 3 walls, broke 2 windows and stepped on 5 joints. While she was trying to run, she was singing a song she heard on the radio.
"Do you have the time
To listen to me whine
About nothing and everything all at once
I am one of those
Melodramatic fools
Neurotic to the bone no doubt about it
Sometimes I give myself the creeps
Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me
It all keeps adding up
I think I'm cracking up
Am I just paranoid
Or am I just stoned."
After she finished, She ran into a wall and was knocked out. A crumpled up note fell out of her hands and rolled to Tre. He picke it up and started reading it.
"Jade-
I love you. But leave me alone. I have a new life and your not part of it.
I'm giving you 500,000$ to get out of my life and forget me.
Love,
Mom."
Tre choked back a snarl and passed it to Billie Joe. Billie Joe took it, read it and frowned. Mike walked over and looked for Jade.
After seeing her knocked out, he made a beeline for her. Tre tripped him and Billie Joe handed him the note. Mike read it and shook his head.
"Jesus, that sucks," Mike sighed.
"SUCKS? That's painful," Billie Joe argued.
"Oh, is Billie Joe getting 'feelings' for Jade?" Tre teased.
Billie Joe turned around and shot and evil glare.
"I'm telling her tomorrow," Billie Joe announced.
"WHAT?!?!?" Mike and Tre yelped.
"Billie Joe, you can't do this. This is the first person who ever came with us and didn't know something I didn't know about myself!" Mike yelled.
"SHE'S THE FIRST CHICK WHO DIDN'T SCREW ME FOR MONEY!!!" Tre yelled.
Billie Joe ignored them, picked up Jade and carried her to the other room. He set her down and sat by her bed. A stray hair was on her eyes and he pushed it away. Sleeping, she looked so peaceful. He sighed and kissed her forehead, got up and left.
Next morning, Mike and Tre all sitting at one table, looking like they were waiting for her.
