Whatsername, chapter 1
Natalie, Linda, and Steph were watching the movie in the local theater while there were three empty seats next to them. Someone came up to Natalie, and Linda and Steph were to in-the-movie to notice.
"Hi, can we use these seats?" The unknown shadowy person whispered so the other people were not bothered during the movie.
"Sure." Natalie answered.
When he and his friends came into some more light of the dark theater, she noticed the guy's gorgeous green eyes. Right away she knew him from her high school. It was Billie Joe, obviously with his best friends Mike and Tre. To be sure she asked, "Hi, um... are you Billie Joe from Diamond Ranch High School?"
"Yeah, you must be Natalie I have you in Math."
"Cool. These are my friends Linda and Steph. I see you already brought Tre and Mike."
"Uhh yeah," he said with a little laugh and scratching his head,"Tre wanted to see a funny movie and begged us to go to the movies, and well here we are."
Billie Joe forgot Tre had a huge crush on Steph, Mike had a huge crush on Linda, and he started to have feelings for Natalie himself.
"Billie Joe, Natalie shut up! We are trying to watch a movie you know!" The crowd said in unison.
"Ok, Ok." Billie Joe and Natalie both mumbled.
At the funny parts they both laughed together and seemed to be a couple to other people but were just friends...for now. As the movie was ending Billie Joe asked, "How you and your friends wanna go out and eat some ice cream?"
"Yeah, I'll ask them right now." She replied slightly excited because she too had a crush on Billie Joe. Her friends, Linda and Steph too had crushes on Mike and Tre. Wow, you might think what a coincidence. And guess what? They too were in a band. With Natalie guitar lead vocals, Linda bass vocals, and Steph drums. Their band was called 'Knup'.(Punk backwards)
She went over to Linda and Steph who seemed to be talking to Mike and Tre and asked,"Hey, you guys wanna come with me and Billie Joe to get some ice cream?"
"Yes I would love to go!" Linda replied, happy to be going where Mike was going.
"Yeah lets go!" Steph said putting an arm over Tre's shoulder and walking out of the theater with Billie Joe, Natalie, Mike, and Linda. Tre also had put his arm around her waist for them it seemed everything was cool, but still kinda of friendly in a way. Mike and Linda did the same, but Natalie and Billie Joe are still kinda distant and shy towards each other. She thinks he likes her, and he thinks she likes him. It's kinda like when you get that sensation when you know thats the person that you love. Well, they both felt that sensation.
On the way to the parking lot to find the Billie Joe's car he tried to make a conversation with saying,"So you are in a band, right?"
"Yeah it's called Knup, kinda stupid huh?," she said slightly sarcastically,"Do you get it, its punk backwards. We had no idea what else to call it. Aren't you in a band too?" she finished curious.
Billie Joe nodded.
"I think the name is kinda creative if you ask me. Ours is called 'Green Day'. There's the car. Come on." He replied.
They hadn't noticed but Tre and Steph had already kissed and were talking and joking with Mike and Linda. Once at the parlor they chatted away talking about music, school, all their favorite stuff, and what they wanted to do with their lives. After the ice cream Billie Joe, Mike, and Tre dropped off Linda and Steph at Natalie's house.
"Bye" All of them said to eachother.
INSIDE NATALIE'S HOUSE, IN THE LIVING ROOM
"OMG!" screamed Linda, she was so happy.
"I can't believe me and Tre like kissed!" excitedly shouted by Steph
"Cool...um guys call your parents and let them know you are staying here...ok?" said Natalie.
"Ok... um I'm gonna go to the bathroom." Linda replied sort of giving Steph a sign that something was wrong with Natalie. Linda then left to use the bathroom.
"Is there something wrong, Natalie?" Steph asked curiously,"You can tell me anything you know that, right?"
"I'm fine. Don't worry about it. My night was great. I'm ok. Just call your parents and let them know whats going on, ok?" Natalie replied.
"Ok...I know when somethings up with you and I will find out." She said jokingly almost.
"Yeah. I'm gonna go to sleep. You guys can use the blankets in the cupboard and sleep on the couch. Tell Linda for me. G' night."
"Good night."
Natalie herself didn't know why she was sad. I mean she had spent a night with her crush and it seemed to work well, but she just didn't feel great. She slowly closed her eyes and turned off her light.
(Billie Joe stayed over at Mike's house because his parents were fighting again. Tre had gone home.)
INSIDE MIKES HOUSE
Yawning Mike said,"That was a well spent night wasn't it?"
"Yeah...good night."He replied sleepily. It was now 11:30
"Sooooooooo what's up with Natalie? I think I'll ask Linda to come with me to go shopping next friday if everythings cool."
"Me and Natalie hit it pretty well I guess. I wanna ask her to a date, but..."Billie Joe drifted off.
"But.......? Come on Billie I know she likes you. I mean the way you two stare at each other is kind of annoying some times! Just ask her out Billie, tomorrow's Saturday....What a better day?"Mike said with his advice.
"Ok. Ok, Good night I'll call her right now."
NATALIE'S BEDROOM
She still couldn't sleep, but tried to. She had too many thoughts on her mind. Suddenly her cell phone rang, almost scaring her.
****Phone****
Natalie: Hello?
Billie Joe: Hey Natalie, it's Billie Joe....um I was wondering if you wanted to got to the park with me tomorrow at 2:30?
Natalie: SURE!
Going on a date was the thing she needed to help her go to sleep.
Billie Joe (laughing): Ok, cool, Um I guess I'll pick you up.
Natalie: Heh...sorry about that. Yeah you can pick me up.
Billie Joe:Ok bye see ya tomorrow.
Natalie: Bye.
****End of Phone call****
Natalie sighed. Could life get any better? She got a date with her one and only crush. She couldn't wait until tomorrow. She again slowly closed her eyes and fell to sleep.
