At the Zoo..., chapter 1
Billie Joe woke up Saturday morning to Jakob and Joseph's smiling faces looming over him. He screamed, causing the boys to laugh uncontrollably and Adrienne to wake up. "What the hell was that all about?"
"I guess we scared Daddy." Jakob told her. Theyboth apologized.
"What'd you come in here for? Something wrong?" Billie Joe asked.
"Well,Daddy, we're bored and wanted to know if we could go to the zoo today." Joseph said.
"Yeah. You're never home to take us places and have fun." added Jakob.
"Pleeeeeeeeeeeease!" Adi begged, sounding like a 5-year-old.
Billie Joe laughed, and told them all to get ready. The kids practically flew back to their rooms.
Billie Joe decided to see if Tre' and Mike wanted to come along with their kids. He called them and asked. They said they'd love to come, but their kids were visiting their mothers. Mike said he would pick up Tre' and be at Billie Joe's house by 11:00.
"Breakfast is ready!"
"Coming,Adi!" he called.
He hung up the phone and ran down the stairs. He saw waffles, eggs, and toast at his spot at the table. It took 5 minutes for him to scarf down his breakfast. When he finished, he licked his fingers. That's when he noticed everyone was starring at him. "What?"
"I remember feeding you last night, but it seems like you haven't eaten in days."
"Just want to be ready on time." he replied with a smile.
Adi cleared the table as she told the boys to go brush their teeth and finish getting ready.
10 minutes later, the kids were watching cartoons as Billie Joe and Adi chatted in the kitchen.
"Who's driving, and which car are we taking?" she asked.
"Mike's car and he's driving."
"Cool. And thank you for coming. We all know your schedule is very busy and you can't always be here when we want you to be.(If I had my way, you'd be here all the time.) Anyway, thank you for being here when we need you. Even if it is just a trip to the zoo." she kissed him on the cheek.
It was 10:40. Mike and Tre' would be there in 20 minutes. They continued to talk untill he doorbell rang.
"I'll get it!" Jakob called.
"Oh no you don't!" Billie Joe said, scooping him off the ground just as he was reaching for the knob. he play-wrestled him to the ground. Adrienne smiled as she walked around them and to the door. She opened it and greeted Mike and Tre'.
"Hello!" Mike said."Everyone ready?"
"Yep." Billie Joe said, motioning the boys to the car. Tre' sat up front with Mike, Billie Joe and Adi behind them, and the kids in the very back.
"I don't think so." Mike said, looking at Jakob and Joseph's faces."Get in the trunk." The looks on their faces were priceless.
Mike laughed. "I'm just kidding."
So they were off for a normal day of fun. But is anything normal with Green Day around?..............
