At the Zoo..., chapter 3
"Well? Are you gonna talk to him or what?" Tre asked.
"Uh... hi. So, you like the song Longveiw. Is it your favorite?" Mike questioned, trying to be friendly.
"Oh yes." said Hugo. "You guys are so creative!"
"Thanks." Billie said. He was so confused, he could cry. "What's... um...your favorite album?"
"I like 'International Superhits' since it mixes it up. But for fav. real-deal album, I would have to say 'Insomniac'."
"Cool." said Billie Joe.
"Okay, which instrument do you like best?" asked Tre.
"I've always loved drums." Hugo sighed. "But of course I can't play them. Yet I can sound like a bass, so that's my favorite."
"Alright, no feelings to be hurt, but who's your favorite person in the band?"
"Ooh. I like all of you, but I'll have to say Tre Cool. Besides, if it weren't for him, I never would have met you guys."
Mike and Billie nodded. Tre' began to do a happy dance. For that, Hugo sucked some water out of his pond and sprayed it all over Tre. They laughed, and Tre said something about no longer needing a shower that night. They looked at him a minute and then began to laugh again.
*MEANWHILE*
Adi had spent $5.00 on feeding animals and was ready to feed herself. Just as she was about to call her kids, she heard a scream. "Daddy!" it was a little girl. "Let me out! I'm scared!"
"No! You have to face your fear." he yelled.
The little girl was afraid of goats. She thought they would eat her.
Suddenly, a goat came up and began to eat a Hershey bar that was sticking out of the girl's pocket. She thought it was trying to eat her. "Daddy! Aaahhhhh!"
The poor little girl was in tears, but her father stood back with his hands in his pockets. Adi couldn't bear it. She ran in and got the girl. She tossed the candy bar down and dashed out. "It's okay baby, don't cry."
The girl's father marched up. "Don't you touch my Mary Jane!"
"You're what?!" she asked, her lips curling into a smile.
"My daughter! She was one step from being rid of her fear."
"I don't think so! She was one step from getting permanantly traumatized and put into a mental hospital for REHAB!" she snapped.
She went and got her kids to eat lunch. Also sent Billie a text telling her where to find them.
They barely noticed the text, for the elephant was so much fun.
