Manchester - MEN Arena, January 28th, 2005
The support band were New Found Glory. They did a good start playing a lot of songs I have never heard as I was only there to see Green Day.
They had great tour merchandise, I got a wrist band some stickers, badges, the programme and a great hat.
When the lights dimmed and Tre ran behind the drumkit and Billie Joe and Mike ran on stage the crowd stood up and roared. They immediately went into the incredible American Idiot. After I heard that song I knew this was going to be a great first concert.

At the end of Knowledge they got a drummer, bassist and guitarist to play from 'What you gonna do with yourself boy etc' to the end of the song. I was seated so when I raised my hand for playing drums, which I do, they didn't see. They got a good band from the standing people. The guitarist got to keep the guitar, the bass player seemed to my eyes to disappear, the drummer however ran up the thing that sticks out infront of the stage and stage dived.
Green Day went away. Everyone began shouting Green Day! Green Day! Green Day! over and over untill it got really fast and Green Day ran out on stage and played:

During the concert they threw in a 'Here we go, here we go here we go' and at the and played a fantastic 'We Are The Champions'.
