Birmingham - NIA, January 22nd, 2005

I went to the see Green Day in Birmingham with my Dad and one of my best friends Sian.
We had an amazing time, a night we will never forget and one of the best nights of our lives!

Green Day began the concert with the outsanding "American Idiot" which really got the crowd going! They involved the audience loads, they even formed a band on stage to play "Operation Ivy" and Billie Joe gave away one of his guitars! They had everything on that stage: Fire, Fireworks, Flashing lights, Disco Balls, Confetti etc. Even a 6ft tall pink bunny rabbit and a giant bumble bee. And Gren Day got dressed up aswell when they played "King for a day". Billie Joe wore a crown and cape, Tre Cool wore a very sexy pink fluffy hat and Mike didn't wear any anything (I don't mean he was naked I meant he didn't have a costume, so don't get too excited!) but stilll looked cool anyway.

When they played "Minority" the whole floor was shaking so much we actually thought it might crack open and we'd fall through! They played all of my favourite's of theirs and they even played "We Are The Champions" at the end and then loads of confetti came tumbling down which we managed to grab loads of!

The only thing I was dissapointed about was that when Billie Joe crowd surfaced I wasn't close enough 2 reach him! I'm going to MK on June 18th to see Green Day again with my dad and my cousin Sophie, I dunno how they're gonna top Birmingham but we can't wait to see them try!
