Chicago, Illinois, November 7th, 2004

The concert was on November 8th, 2004. The concert was great! I don’t even know how to start it. I guess I’ll start it here.

Sugarcult started out the concert greatly, everyone knew the songs they played and they go the crowd going. The songs they played were:

1 - Stuck In America
2 - (I Have No Idea What This One Was Called)
3 - Bouncing Off Walls
4 - Pretty Girl
5 - Memory

I was in the balcony watching them. Sugarcult was great, but I think that they could have stayed out longer than thirty minutes. Everyone I was with got bored of that spot because there were these obnoxious people behind us yelling and screaming like five-year-olds. So when Sugarcult was done playing we got all of our stuff and moved to the FIFTH row before New Found Glory started playing. The fifth row we went to was on the other side of the UIC Pavillion.

New Found Glory was awesome. When they were playing, I thought I was going deaf because they were so loud. Everyone loved them. Jordan (lead singer of NFG) was sort of a jerk to everyone who was in the seats and really nice to the people on the floor. He kept saying “All you people on the floor, you’re the ones who REALLY, REALLY wanted to go the this concert. You people in the chairs, I don’t know, you don’t seem that interested. I mean these people on the floor must have fought for those tickets.” The songs NFG played were:

1 - Sticks and Stone
2 - Head on Collision
3 - My Friends Over You
4 - Failure’s Not Flattering (What’s Your Problem?)
5 - All Down Hill From Here

New Found Glory played more songs than that, but I forgot what they were. When New Found Glory was done playing the security said,” Those aren’t your seats!” Then the people who were sitting there just waved to us. We were so mad. So then we go to the fifth row on the other side of the stadium and we got even BETTER seats. We were about 15 feet away from the stage.

Green Day, what can I say about Green Day? I can only say that they got the crowd going so easily and EVERYONE loved them. The person in the pink bunny suit first came out when the song ‘YMCA’ came on the stereo. Then he was holding a beer bottle and everyone was cheering for the bunny. The person in the bunny suit kept holding up its hands when he wanted people to cheer for him. When it was time for Green Day to go on stage, they ran on the stage like some retarded football team (sorry to say, but they did). Billie Joe Armstrong (lead vocals and guitar) first came to the microphone and said to us “HELLO CHICAGO!!” Then everyone cheered, holding their hands up (they were doing that ‘rock on’ thing with their hands). They were great; they got the crowd going before they even sang their first song. By they way these are the tracks they played.

1 - American Idiot
2 - Jesus of Suburbia
3 - Holiday
4 - Are We The Waiting
5 - St. Jimmy
6 - Longview
7 - Brain Stew
8 - Jaded
9 - King For A Day
10 - Shout (you know that one song ‘you know you make me want to shout’)
11 - Knowledge by Operation Ivy
12 - Boulevard of Broken Dreams
13 - Basket Case
14 - She
15 - When I Come Around
16 - Minority
17 - Wake Me Up When September Ends
18 - We Are The Champions by Queen
19 - Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)
20 - At the Library

Green Day was the best band there. When Green Day came on, chaos starts. I mean there was body surfing, a mosh pit started and even lighters waving in the air. When Billie Joe was half way through playing American Idiot, he got up on Tre Cool’s (back up vocals and drummer) drumming platform and lifted up his shirt and Tre was pounding so hard on his drums that the fat on Billie Joe’s stomach was jiggling around. Then he got back to his microphone and said to all of us “This song means more to me now than it did five days ago.” Then everyone cheered him on. Then he said back to us and said “Are you ready?!!?” Everyone cheered once again and Billie Joe sang “Don’t wanna be an American Idiot/ One nation controlled by the media/ Information age of hysteria/ It’s coming out to Idiot America.” You probably know the answer to this one; we all cheered uncontrollably. Then, when they were playing ‘Jesus of Suburbia’ Billie Joe introduced Tre Cool and said "LADIES AND GENTLEMAN!!!I GIVE YOU TRE FUCKING COOL!!!!!" then it was Tre's little drum solo, i must say that he did have smiles on his face...:) in the middle of the concert billie joe started jacking off, i thought it was quite sexy.... hehehehehe... everyone cheered him on when he was moaning and jacking..... then later he got out some squirt guns and started squirting the audience... I got sprayed!!!!!! hehehehhe then he got a kid to keep squirting the audience and then billie made him go into that little runway thing and started waving his hands in the air... and we all did what he did heeh.... King For A Day was pretty damn funny, I mean he put his crown on and then when it was the trumpet solo he laid down on the floor and they put that little shaul that kings put on, u know what I''m talking about right? Well anyways... yada yada yada.... Then the concert ended, then we all shouted "GREEN DAY GREEN DAY GREEN DAY" repeditivly then they came back for an oncore and during the song Minority Billie Joe gave us a kick ass speech about not following what the old bastards in the white house do... He said "You controll your future!! Don't do what those old bastards tell you to.. It's your future and it always will be god dammit!!" Then we all cheered and it was like heaven on earth... But when they played Wake Me Up When September Ends Billie Joe dedicated it to Johnny Ramone and we all held up our lighters... and cellphones... even I did.. I held up my cell phone and my lighter....and during the middle of the concert Billie Joe looked right at me... Same with Mike!! They both smiled at me... And don't say they could have been looking at the person right next to you.. It's one of those things you know, you know? During Good Riddance (Time of your life) red and white confetti spued out from this one thing and I got a piece of white confetti and it's on my wall... so ya... At the end Billie Joe was going to play At The Library but he played the first 5 notes, smiled, and ran off... Then we all cheered.... And held up our 'rock on' hands and then the lights turned back on and we all left... I lost my voice at the end, hehehe, I sounded like a child whose first experience puberty, heheheheh, well, anyway....

If you get Green Day tickets... You got to keep up with the concert.... It's wild, it's reckless, it's insane, it's rebelious, it's rediculous, it's crazy, it's Green Day.
