Newcastle - Newcastle Arena, February 7th, 2005
OMG 8th feb 2005 the best night of my life!
The pavements to the arena were, jam packed, and everyone was excited. You could feel the excitement in the air, everyone crammed into the opening arena.
As we took our seats to the right of the stage, i looked down into the mosh pit and everyone was wearing dark colours, only a few stood out with Reds and Blues.
New Found Glory approtched the stage with care, as there set continued bottles of water were thrown to the back of the stage. Mostly all I could hear were chants for Green day, a few people singing along to NFG. Half way throught the NFG set a drunken hobo, stumbles onto the stage holdin his Fish and Chips. he was greeted with few cheers.
As NFG left the stage, the tention in the crowd was amazing everyone highly antisapating the arrival of Green day!
And at last Green Day got on stage! Greeted by screaming fans! the mosh pit full to the brim as everyone jammed and packed to get to the front.
The whole gig was amazing, every so often there would be huge explosions, scaring the crap out of everyone!I stood in amazment at the spectacular light effects!
Every song was sang perfect! Every word was mimiked by the fellow fans! Each word perfectly repeated through out the American Idiot, songs!
As they drew to the end older songs were then played, songs like Basket case and Minority. most of the crow just stood in amazment, as if they were singing new songs! But me i was staning jumping up and down singing every word!
The King For A Day blasted through the arena! I was stunned one of my fave songs ever! Billie Joe stood tall and proud in his cloak and Crown! Tre on the drums with his HUGE Purple hat, and Jason, with a huge pirate hat! Mike didnt take part in the dressing up, he Still stood out as the "Best fucking bass palyer in the world!"
Drawing to an end, the band walk off stage, The crowd chanted over and over
"Green day, Green day"
The lights died down and the crowed still screamed for an Enchor.. then Billie Joe Staning strong in the center of the stage, with a PINK ruffled Shirt on, gave one of the best performances of Good Riddance (Time of Your Life). I stood nearly in tears!
At the end confetti fell from the roof and everyone cheered for one last time!!
