St. Louis, MO - Sawis Center, May 12th, 2005
This was by far one of the best concerts I have been to. They were on key, all the parts were played well (especially the drums, Tre rocked!), and the vocals were outstanding. Some idiot sat in my seat and wouldn't get up (there was like five people there who didnt have tickets) but it all worked out.
The American Idiot album is even better live, along with the other songs they did.
Out of all the bands I have seen live Green Day was the best, after all they should be they have had 16 years to perfect their performance which they did! Great job, peace out and rock on.
When they made a band on stage they picked a girl to be the guitarist and she had no clue what she was doing but Billie Joe was nice to her any ways and told her she got the consulation prize.
Mike was very good on bass this concert (like always) and as always Bush was bashed and made fun of which just made the exsperience even better!
When Billie Joe was introducing the band he mixed up the Jasons but corrected himself so all was good.
If you haven't been to a Green Day concert before you don't know what you are missing so go buy some tickets you dummy!! I also thought that Billie Joe had steady vocals throughout the whole concert, he wasn't tired by the end and he didn't have a raspy, horse, voice on the last song. His wild, energetic stage antics just got the whole crowd even more wound up and excited, my Aunt who went with my friends and I was also up jumping around! It was soooooooo loud when everyone got out of there it sounded like we had all sucked in a bunch of helium because are voices were so high pitched and no one could hear!
To end up the concert Billie Joe once again stated all politicians were bastards who couldn't control us and then ended with "We Are the Champions".
I can't wait for Green Day next concert because I will be there in the front row watching.
