Milton Keynes National Bowl - England, June 18th, 2005

Ok we left for the concert quite early as we live quite far away but when we got there the wait to get into the actual bowl wasnt as bad as we expected. The people outside were pretty friendly. The crowd got a bit rowdy throwing bottles of water at each other. Then it turned into a sport the marshalls tried to step in but it didn't work. The gates opened and the crowd barged through. Hard Fi the opening band were excellent covering a White Stripes song, not the best I have heard but they have got potentional!!! Taking Back Sunday totally not my cup of tea, I thought the lead singer was metal the way he paraded across stage. Jimmy Eat World to tell you the truth I have never heard of them lol, so when I saw the crowd reciting the lyrics and bopping along I was a bit suprised. Just before Green Day graced the stage a drunken pink rabbit came on to entertain the crowd with its great dance moves to Y.M.C.A. This got the crowd excited and it left the path open for Green Day. As soon as they jumped on stage the crowd went wild screaming mostly for Billie Joe (I was to lol). They performed American Idiot followed by Jesus of Surburbia. My favourite bit was when Billie Joe decided to have an orgasm on stage getting the audience to join in with him. Billie Joe had total control of the audience. Although I lost my voice within 10 minutes of the concert, I still managed to scream.... Anyways I'm off to book tickets for their gig at Earls Court in December they are 10 out of 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
