Dublin - Dublin Point, January 30th, 2005
Hey, I just nocited this now lol yeah omfg what a gig it was brilliant!
** BTW** The drummer who went up to play, his name wasn't Patrick.. the guy Billie Joe kissed was called Patrick he was the lead guitarist.. I know the guy who went up to play bass.. it's not fair I tell you! lol His name is Connor.. he even met them after the show! Lucky son of a..
Haha every time I think of the Dublin gig, I think of the "fun" we had sneaking in to the pitt and skipping the whole queue outside! My friend and I got there really late so we told a few lies to the security guard, skipped to the "pitt pass" area, and made out own pit passes and got in!
The gig itself was just.. fucking amazing.. I still get goosebumps when I hear American Idiot live from it! *shivers* I loved Minority cos it took Billie Joe 7 minutes or so to get through it.. and his 18 second long not he held was amazing... and lets not forget his entertaining "ahem" orgasm! LMAO that was so funny, you just see all the heads turning suddenly and everyone is like WTF??!!
But one thing really annoyed me.. the lack of knowledge people had for some of the songs.. like I'm listening to King for a day now form the gig, and you can hear that like NO ONE is singing along.. Alot of people around me only knew American Idiot, Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, a bit of Longview, and a bit of Minority! :( I'm not sayinf EVERYONE didn't know it obviously.. only from where I was it was like that ;)
Oh, and that girl getting up was so funny, cause she said she could play 3 chords, but could she?? At first I felt sorry for her, but then I was annoyed cause she wasted their time! lol
Haha best concert ever, Im so pissed off I can't go to Oxegen!!!!! :'(
