Rosemont, IL Allstate Arena, August 9th, 2005

The show at the Allstate Arena was fucking awesome! First Jimmy Eat World played, then Green Day came out and they were incredible! First they played American Idiot, Jesus of Suburbia, and Holiday. Then Billie Joe got a water hose and started spraying everyone in the standing area with it. He let this girl who was like 11 or something come up and spray everyone too! She was so fucking lucky. Then Billie Joe said "I said hey-o" and everyone repeated. He did that a couple more times and then he was like "I said a Hey-ahh-oo-yah-oohoooh" like he was having sex or something. They played more songs and then he said "I need a drummer, a bass player, and a guitar player." He called up the drummer and he ran up and hugged Billie Joe and kissed him, and Tre showed him what to play. Then he called up a girl to be the bassist, and Mike showed her what to play. Then he called up a guy to play his guitar, and kind of started making out with him. They all played while Billie Joe sang and they were all pretty good. Then he made them all stop and made the guitar player go back, but he got a back stage pass. He made the drummer do a stage dive, he got Tre's drum sticks and a back stage pass. Then the girl was gonna walk back to her standing area when Billie Joe said "gimme the girl" and he told her that she got to keep the guitar, and she also got a backstage pass. Then they played some more songs and while they were playing We are the Champions, confetti came out everywhere. Billie Joe closed the show by playing Good Riddance.
