Milton Keynes National Bowl - England, June 18th, 2005
This was my first concert and I'll tell you I don't think any could top this. When Green Day came on stage I cried, when they started American Idiot I cried, when they played Wake Me Up When September Ends I cried and when they played Are We The Waiting I cried a lot more.
That song reminds me of the concert everytime. When they came on stage their was an uproar. Everyone loved it and they just kicked ass at opening a concert.
That day it had been so hot and literally everyone was sweating. I was thinking: 'Boys must be roasting like potatoes in an oven, man'.
They performed the songs with such power an glory that I thought the stage was going to fall through. Jumping and shouting at every opportunity.
Billie Joe played like a proper lead singer and Mike was just fab. As for Tre he acted like Tre.
Jason 1 and 2 acted superbly and the floor shook with the rocking vibes. The vobes were electric and the guys where being themselves down to the ground complete and utter loonies.
When people were asked to go on stage and play the instruments, everyone rocked out to their beet and the drummer was a little bit outgoing for his own good.
When the guitarist got to keep the guitar I was so jealous althought I wasn't jelous about the boy who played bass, he had to do a stage dive (scary man).
The drummer got to keep Tre's sticks, drum sticks you dirty kiddies. While we were waiting for the concert to start there were some scary sights like women with her tops off argh!
But none more scarier than my best mate Taylor who I went with and I was annoyed when she tripped a bottle of flipping water over my head while we were sitting down.
We where listening to her aunties phone before that and she had a South Park song on it, well funny.
Around the park there where people trying (and most failing) to look like Billie Joe. Overall the concert kick ass!!! One word to sum up the concert.
