*GRINS* go for it bb! theres nothing like being at the top haha I have no idea what order our honours is picked in should prob know that. The thing about Edinburgh is because all Biomed scientists are together for the first two years, - its considered the same course - then you pick honours at the end of 2nd year. There are 30 honours feilds to chose from and their all pretty much just as popular as the only one that’s competitive to get on to is zoology because it’s the most popular. Lucky I’m heading for ones that’s undersubscribed so I’m almost guaranteed a place.

We have that as well, we use a system called WebCT where are notes are and we have online quizzes and sh*t its amazing to us and very very helpful. We did Biochem 1A and 1B this year which is pure biochemistry, Thermodynamics, Enzyme Kinetics etcetc then we have Metabolism 1A and 1B which was more applied biochemistry and as my biology electives we Medicine 1 and Genetics 1…I f*cking HATE genetics. This years class list is freaking AWESOME I’m beyond excited about it.
Biochem 2, Medicine 2, Anatomy 2, Nurioscience and Pharmacology 2, Immunology 2 and Cell Biology 2. I’m beyond excited about them I’ve been reading up on it already haha.
Edinburgh is weird for Biology degrees its split evenly between 3rd and 4th year. We don’t have a degree year so you can’t graduate after 3rd year we do our Honours over two then you get automatic entry to masters.
I HAD to move out, it’s why I chose Edinburgh I didn’t want to stay at home and haul my ass an hour every day in to Glasgow for university. I think we start back 22nd Sep not too sure what that one…

OMG I did organic chem semester 1 and 2 this year, we had to take 4 chem classes this year and 2 bio. It killed me honestly I cried though organic chem it was just horrific thank god thats over.
Yeah I'm going in to second year, get to take some f*cking awesome classes this year. I need to go back, I'm moving in to my flat in like a week and a half can't wait to get away from home again. Don't worry a month until classe start again and we can b*tch about having so much coursework to do!
Geek outs are always welcome. By far this year the most interesting thing we did in medicine was looking at the genetic components in drug effectiveness, and how drug half life varies and the toxicity of drugs vary according to your genetics. Heparin was the big example we looked at, utterly amazing to think about how a few base sequences can have such a huge effect.

*grins* Med was the only class I really enjoyed at uni, I just wan't wait to get back now I don't have any more pure chemistry courses *SHUDDERS*
I fell in love with Immunology years ago, I just find the whole thing utterly facinating, at least someone on here gets it! *HUGS* When people ask me what I'm studying and I go "Joint Immunology and Virology" they give me this weird look XD

Yeah I'm from Helensburgh which is pretty close by its only half an hour on the train away! Edinburghs good though I got 6As this year which I'm so freaking happy about, being locked in the underground study labs for 2 weeks stright worked. Its amazing how upon exam time you can function with such little sleep!
Strength in numbers bb!
I've been reading your fanfics as well, love your writing! Love the science (the RIGHT SCIENCE MAY I ADD) in the When The Sun Goes Down as well. =D CSI Billie Joe you can just see it lol!

I'm doing it at the University of Edinburgh. I did apply to Strathclyde but it's too close to home and I wanted to move out to go to uni. Tell your friend she's f*cking awesome though. Power to the Immunologists!
