record sales and awards mean nothing but people in general like it, and people in general are mostly idiots, dont get me wrong im not saying he doesnt deserve to have won them, like i said before, he's influenced a lot of musicians because he was a big figure in the music world.
its not a comment on the quality, some of the most amazing bands have won nothing
