About
Hello friends, Romans, and Green Day fans! I'm not sure what to put here...uh...well, first off I'm a Christian, but, contrary to popular belief, Christians aren't holier-than-thou, all-work-and-no-play type people...take me for example, I'm probably one of the weirdest people I know, and I'm a Christian. Some people have this really warped idea of what we are, and it really bothers me sometimes.

Wikipedia owns your soul.

1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours is definitely my favorite Green Day album. It's like a gift to the super-diehard Green Day fans, because only super-diehard Green Day fans have it, so if someone talks to you about 1039 it's like, "Hey! I'm talking to a super-diehard Green Day fan!!!". I especially like Only of You, because of the distortion on the guitars, the wicked guitar solo, and the "Whoaaaa-ohhh" thing going on within it.
I'm sad to say that I have a mild case of Billie Joe lover-ism. I try not to be a BJ lover, but sometimes, at extremely rare occasions I can't help myself, like when I watch the video for Good Riddance or listen to Only of You , 80, Haushinka or Wake Me Up When September Ends or read Green Day fanfiction. I'm not mental like some people, thankfully...I mean, I'm not all like, "YOU CAN'T HAVE BILLY-JO! HE'S MINE!!!", so don't worry about that. I had a friend who used to be so obsessed with Billie that she had a CAT named Billie Joe!But she's over it now, thank the Force. (Star Wars rocks, too.)
Then there's my other friend, Amber, who at one point threw a BIRTHDAY PARTY for Billie! She had a cake and everything, dude. Me, I'm embarassed enough just KNOWING his birthday. Amber isn't a GD freak anymore though; she's moved on to Brendon Urie, who is the singer of Panic! At The Disco. Once I said something about him and she was like, "YOU WILL HAVE NO BRENDON!!! I WILL EAT YOUR FACE!!!" and I was all, "OKAAAAYYYY..." it was really funny.
I have really, really, really, REALLY weird Green Day dreams!!!
Seriously, I had this one dream where Billie Joe and Mike were in my Social Studies class and we all had to write an essay on the corruption of the Catholic Church just before Martin Luther and the rise of Protestantism and all that. Billie tried to cheat off my paper. How rude!
I have the same birthday as Tommy Ramone! even though I'm not really a very big Ramones fan, but hey, it's better than nothing...
I write stories. It's fun, but I still have a problem with staying focused on one story idea. I've posted a few on Mibba, if you want to check 'em out. My screen name on Mibba is the same as it is here on GSB. I've taken an occasional stab at Green Day fanfiction, but I haven't finished anything yet.
My two favorite bands right now are:

The great thing about Green Day is that they're far from being "kiddie pop" but they got really popular with younger people in recent years. So basically, they've turned a lot of us on to real music, meaning music other than the "ABC Singalong" stuff we all had shoved down our throats when we were five. When I first listened to their album American Idiot, it was the first real music I'd ever heard, and it just blew my mind. Now I'm a really big fan, and I may move on someday, but I'll always remember these guys as the first band I ever really loved.
QUEEN!!!

This picture creeps me out. It really does. But, creepy promotional shots aside, I must say that this band without a doubt ROCKS. In fact, they might even be becoming my new obsession. I still love Green Day, though!
There is more to Queen than We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions. There is so much more. It took me a while to catch on to that, but man, when I did...it rocked. Their early work was very "rock 'n' roll", and I might even call it "metal-ish", and that's what I like best.
Other awesome bands/artists (in no particular order):
Jethro Tull
Third Eye Blind
Danny Elfman/Oingo Boingo
The Gin Blossoms
Iron Maiden
My Chemical Romance
Panic! At The Disco
Frank Zappa/The Mothers
The Ramones
Muse
The Clash
Sugar Ray
3 Doors Down
The Sex Pistols
Depeche Mode
Michael Jackson
Warren Zevon
David Bowie
Nirvana
U2
Screeching Weasel
Bob Dylan
John Williams
Fleetwood Mac
Ludwig van Beethoven
AC/DC
Blind Melon
Metallica
The Beatles
Johnny Cash
Ray Charles
Chuck Berry
Alice Cooper
Rammstein
The Ziggens
Led Zepppelin
...and probably more, but I can't remember 'em at the moment.
ALL MY SONGS SUCK LIKE A FREAKIN' VACCUUM, MAN!!!
I try, but they usually turn out kind of lame. Eventually, though, I will write one that doesn't make me want to stick a fork in my eye. It's on my list of things to do before I die.
Hey, that kind of rhymed! I'm a poet and I don't even know it...
This is absolutely freakin' AWESOME footage of Green Day in 1991!!! Best. Green Day. Footage. Ever.
But this footage is even better...
If you were introduced to Green Day with American Idiot, and are tired of putting up with abuse from the people who think they're better than you just because they had the opportunity to get into the band earlier than you did, put this in your signature or homepage!
