The HPV virus
I went to the doctor today and was told I didn't need to worry about the shot, not being sexually active. I read up on it and people agree with my thinking so I decided to write a blog.
Girls, starting at the age of 9, are getting a shot for a sexually transmitted desease that they get from boys. Now, I think that the boys should be getting the injection too, if guys are the ones carrying the virus, why do girls have to suffer? The reason why girls are getting the shots at the age of 9 is because statistics say that most girls ar having sex now starting at the age of 11. *shivers* So yeah, I'll leave that the way it is and go. Bye bye

I was supposed to get that shot, but my parents insurance company doesn't cover it. =( WE just did a huge unit on sexually transmitted diseases. HPV sucks, but I think it can be treated. You are really screwed if you get a viral STD, then there's no cure

I got the HPV vaccine on Tuesday.
He said it's so you'll have it for when you actually become sexually active.
And they wanted to give me one for Hepititus [sp?] A. Like I'm having sex or something. D: I'M ONLY FOURTEEN!

Oh wait, back up. That's wrong, missand. Girls can't give it to guys because it only affects girls, in the ovaries. That's why I find it unfair, guys don't have to worry about it but they are walking free with the desease in them.

Guys aren't the ones being pressured to get the injection, it's only be reccomended for the girls, ok? The virus is coming from guys and girls are getting it, sure a girl can give it to a girl but the guy gave it to her.

girls at that age are succeptable to peer pressure.
not all of them are prepubescent sl*ts.
they have sex because;
A) The Media glamourizes casual sex.
B) Well.. I suppose thats its really.
Other than that theres pressure from male figures in their lives blah blah

The Eye is Watching You, January 24th, 2007 at 09:56:10pm
I didn't realise that only girls had to have the shot...which is pretty annoying.
But then again, I guess it makes it easier for doctors to give out the shot and know who has had it already.
And having sex at age eleven?!?!?!?!??!?!?! *joins in with shivering*
