A Perfect Circle
How odd it is that they have perfect in their name, for they seriously are perfect. They are all of my favorite bands put together in one extremely awesome combonation. The members include:
Maynard James Keenan- Vocalist from TOOL
Billy Howerdel- He was the founding member, and was a guitar tech for alot of bands Including TOOl and Nine Inch Nails. He plays guitar
Josh Freese- He has worked with all kinds of Bands, and is a sensational drummer
Jeordie White- Worked with Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails. APC had other bassists, but I feel that Jeordie was by far the best suited to work with the band.
Their sound, matched with their vocals is different. You can hear similarities between A Perfect Circle, and all the bands their members worked with before, but they also have elements when they work together that they wouldn't have other wise. They are known for having heavy and hard bass lines, which really makes their songs leave lasting impressions.
A Perfect Circle's lyrical content in comparisson to bands like Nine Inch Nails and TOOL, is lighter. However, they never write songs without meaning and substance. Each of their songs addresses an issue, from self destruction to religion, their lyrics strongly reflect their opinions. They've also covered several anti war songs, expressing their political views.
They are mesmerizing live. They first toured opening for Nine Inch Nails, and reached higher levels of popularity in 2003 with the single Weak and Powerless, which made it all the way to the top of Modern Rock charts.
So far, the band has released 3 studio albums, and a DVD. However A Perfect Circle is only a side project. In 2004, Billy mentioned future plans for a new album, however it's now 2007, and we have yet to see it.Regardless of what they do in the future, their past albums hold monumental places in not only my CD case, but in many other peoples opinions as well.

*writes it down* I know, kind of nerdy, but it pisses me off SO MUCH when I can't remember what I want to download... and then it is lost forever... tangled in the sticky cobwebs in my (rather empty) mind...

Hmm, I've only heard a few songs of them on the radio. They sounded pretty good, actually yesterday I was thinking about downloading some of their music.
