So I passed out at a Hardcore Concert
August 15, 2007
Frankfurt, Germany
Ignite Live
A small old Club
500 people
35° Celcius, no air conditioner
Sweat, Music, Energy.
Passed Out.
Hot, sweaty, energetic. Jumping, moshing. Tattooed guys and girls. Beer. Screamings and shoutings. In between some singing.
Then there is little me, 160 cm, tiny, thin. After the second band (before Ignite played) I suddenly got hotter and hotter, and felt blurry. I told my sister that I want to go out for some air but while walking I noticed everything going black. I tried to get back to my sister's but I passed out close to her. She catched me, sat me down and shouted to some guy to bring me water. After drinken water I got better again.
wow.
This never happened to me. The high temperature, no fresh air, and no water (I barely drank that day) caused my black-out.
So in the end I had to watch the concert while sitting.
-ahem-
To the concert: It was amazing. Ignite mostly played songs from the new CD, Our Darkest Days. The songs are catchy, with a melody that makes you wanna sing, but still hardcore. The show was full of energy. It was truely amazing. The political statements (fitting to the songs) of course were there too.
I couldn't see much, but that wasn't even neccessary. When they played their last three songs I stood up and danced again.
A band that doesn't need big halls to make a good concert. No, they would never fit into big concert halls. Ignite, stay as you are, you are truely amazing.
I will never forget that night. My sister and I still laugh about what happoened to me. I definitly want to see Ignite live again. It was one of the greatest concerts ever. But next time, I'll drink more. (:
Thank you Ignite.
