Letter after letter...
...page after page...chapter after chapter...I get more and more drown into a book. I can't let go of it, don't want to put it away.
This is actually a really weird thing for me because I barely ever read books.
The first books I read after a long time willingly was The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. And now, more than 5 years later, I started a new book: Cross Bones by Kathy Reichs.
Books often don't make much sense at the beginning, because the plot still has to come together. They usually don't start with an "Once upon a time there was...“ like fairy tales do. The book I am reading at the moment goes right into action. It makes me curious on what happened and on what it means.
And I love the ability of a good book to guide us through the plot, to carry us from page to page, to not let us put it away for a while. It’s the suspense getting bigger and bigger; the twists that make me hold my breath.
Some pages are so easy to read; sometimes it all goes so fast. And sometimes the pages seem so long, and yet interesting. Many writers have the ability to put the speed of action into their writing, so the reader feels it the same way. So when it is a slow day for the characters in the book, the reader will feel the same, and when everything goes too fast, the reader will read the pages faster too.
Sometimes I’m scared of what might happen. My heart beats faster. I never actually thought this could happen but a book, if it is well written, can have the same effect like a horror movie to me. It gets me just as thrilled, and isn’t boring at all.
And I never thought I would say something like that but I have finally found a book that I just cannot lay aside. A book that makes me read till very late at night. A book that makes me forgot about everything around me, the good, and the bad. A book that lets me get drown into it. Being usually not a reader at all, this means a lot to me.

I'm pretty sure I have read that book, it would have been a couple of years ago though now. Cathy Reichs is an excellent author, her material is right up my alley so to speak, I can't put them down either. Although sadly, I no longer have that much time for pleasure reading.

I love books.
I'm reading one now called Lost, but I cant remember the author.
The book is really well written, and the writer is one of the few writers that actually manages to write in first person, and make it seem real.
I've read alot of really bad books, but this one, is pretty good.
