Elliot Minor – Still Figuring Out

Formerly “The Academy’, Elliot Minor have currently released 3 singles, and a fourth [SFO] has the due date of the 28th January 2008, with an album scheduled for late Febuary/March. Currently, about 26 songs have been recorded, but it has not been disclosed about which will appear on it.
The Video
No mystery to this song, with only two locations used for the video. The first is a small staircase, surrounded by 100 fans, all clambering to be close.
Dan takes over the small landing between the stairs, with his brother, Teddy, at the very top of the first stairs. Alex is midway while the large area beneath has Ali and Ed.
With close ups and shots to make anyone drool, it’s rather shmexcy beyond all belief, with enough originality for me to be able to repeat it for at least an hour…which is what I’m currently not doing.
Constantly blown leaves scatter the room, where Alex eventually swings from a chandelier. Looking much more ‘well kept’ than TWOIE, [except Dan who looks more himself], the band appear very natural, playing as if it were a gig; and that’s what it basically was. With flashes of light, possibly mimicking cameras, we’re thrust into a controlled gig, like we’re watching from the sidelines.
Dressed not in suits, tires or anything, they might be in their own clothes, save the suit style jackets which are worn by Alex and Teddy, although they do both appear very natural in them.
Occasionally, we cut off to see Alex singing, sat on a ledge outside. But this isn’t noticeable until the last scene where the camera raises up, fading into the night.
The song has been revamped since the original demo, with more complicated riffs and WOW. Will bells, strings and more, and I’d look out for it in the near future.
Overall: AMAZING. Just wow.
Oh…and I want Alex’s guitar…it’s rather hot.

I was at the video shoot that day. I still haven't seen the final version of the video yet. can't wait though.
